Shagou rock paintings

There are two small villages in the southeast of Pengyang Township, which are located in the upstream and downstream of a river ditch in the north and Xiashagou in the south. Here, with rolling mountains and lingering mountains and rivers, it is the north-south crossroads from central Shandong to southern Shandong in ancient times. On the Dongshan Mountain between the two villages, there is an east-west ditch, 5 meters deep and 3 meters wide, with white rocks standing on both sides, which was washed down by thousands of years of rain. On the north wall of this ditch, about two-thirds of the height, there is a picture carved in the shade: an official hat, which is often seen in plays, with swaying wing fans on both sides of the gauze hat. There is a lotus flower on the left side of the official hat, which seems to be unable to open. The lines of rock paintings are polished and concise, and the size is equivalent to the real thing. This painting has not attracted the attention of academic and archaeological circles so far. But the rock paintings around this area have various legends handed down from generation to generation. There are two typical types.

One legend: In the early years of Qing Dynasty, Zichuan, Shandong Province ranked first in the annual imperial examination, which aroused the envy of Man Zi in the south, and thought that the geomantic omen in Zichuan County must be very good. They invited Mr. Feng Shui to visit Zichuan secretly. Results The answer was found in Shagou, 30 miles west of Zichuan County. It turns out that less than 5 meters downstream of the stone wall, the geological structure is more complicated, and loose sandy rocks surround hard purple sandy rocks. Under the erosion of the stream for years, the surrounding sand and stones were hollowed out, but the hard purple sand stone stood out. Curiously, this empty purple boulder forms the image of a turtle, which is located on the east and west sides, squatting between green mountains and green waters. From a distance, the half cliff behind the turtle looks like a giant monument, forming a three-dimensional picture of the turtle's back monument. This turtle back monument is very huge. Mr. Feng Shui stood on the road at the foot of the mountain, looking eastward through the sunset, only to see purple gas soaring into the sky, and there were countless official hats ranging from first-class to ninth-class around the giant monument. It suddenly dawned on him that the spirits of Zichuan County are all here, so it is not surprising that officials are prosperous. So, he secretly carved the painting on the cliff and monument. Its original intention is: although there are many official hats, they are all flowers, and they can't bear fruit, which means they can't pass the exam. This feng shui will be ruined.

Legend 2: The top of this cliff is a flat land, and a family named Zhang chose it as a cemetery. Mr. Feng Shui was surprised and said that this family would be big officials in the future. He had a bad heart and secretly chiseled the painting at night. The intention is the same as the above example. It is said that this Zhang family has been wearing an official hat for hundreds of years, but unfortunately it is on the stage.

The above legend is of course nonsense. However, this rock painting actually exists, and the landform of this "turtle-carrying monument" does have similarities in some aspects. Try to make the following textual research on this phenomenon and teach it to Fang Jia.
