Winning bidder of Medog Hydropower Station

Invested by the National Development and Reform Commission and water conservancy and hydropower planning, relevant domestic scientific research institutions, universities and relevant experts from various professions will actively participate in the comprehensive investigation and study of the basic data of hydropower resources development in southeastern Tibet, demonstrate the scheme and countermeasures, seek the optimal planning scheme for hydropower resources development and "sending electricity from Tibet", and put forward a strategic research report for the reference of decision-making departments. Experts from Tsinghua University Old Association for Science and Technology are also willing to put forward preliminary ideas and make modest contributions on the basis of previous research.

1. The Motok Hydropower Station, which is still in the survey stage, is located in the "big bend" gorge section of 260km from Paicun (district) in Milin County to Xirang Village in Motok County in the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River in Tibet, with a drop of 2,350 m and an annual average flow of 60 billion m3. The straight-line distance between the bend and the river is 35 kilometers, which can be used as a huge diversion tunnel. Six large hydropower stations with 6.5438+million kilowatts are arranged along the Xirangqu River Basin, each with a drop of 400 meters. The total installed capacity is 60 million kilowatts. Become the second super hydropower station in the world. Cross the Himalayas to the downstream city of Medog to generate electricity.

2. With the progress and commissioning of China's "Twelve National Hydropower Energy Bases" from 2000 to 2020, after 2020, the main battlefield of hydropower development in China will gradually shift to Gao Shan in southeast Tibet, namely Jinsha River, Lancang River, upper reaches of Nujiang River and middle and lower reaches of Yarlung Zangbo River, and the strategic "power transmission from Tibet" project will be started. This is a more grand, arduous, technically complex and significant hydropower construction task.

3. Super-giant hydropower stations, known as the "Four Kings" in the world, are the three hydropower stations in the lower reaches of the Congo River, among which Yingjia Super Waterfall Hydropower Station is the largest in the world, with a water volume as high as 4 1 1,000m3/s, which is 2 1 times that of Medog. Unfortunately, the installed capacity and power generation of Medog Hydropower Station are the second in the world, but the gap of 2400m is the first in the world among giant hydropower stations.

4. Diversion tunnel excavation at an altitude of 2950m 16.8km, the installed capacity of the power station is 60000Mw, the guaranteed output is 20000Mw, and the annual power generation is 300 billion kW h. The Yarlung Zangbo River runs from Paizhen, Tibet, China to the Grand Canyon in southern China (occupied by India), with abundant water and concentrated drop. The installed capacity of developable hydropower station is about 65.438+0.2 billion kw. It accounts for more than 60% of the total installed capacity of 200 million kilowatts in the Yajiang-Yarlung Zangbo River basin.
