What is the charm of Lingyan Temple in Jinan? It's too crowded for cars to get close to it.

On the first day of the first month of the Year of the Tiger, after eating jiaozi and noodles prepared by my sister last night, we just need to finish the last process and wrap them in jiaozi, and then drive to Lingyan Temple, which is our destination.

Although the expressway is free, there are not many cars on the road, especially there are many large trucks in the past, because it is the first day of the New Year.

I thought the trip to Lingyan Temple was relaxed, happy and lazy. I didn't expect to get off the highway and get close to the scenic spot, but I gave it a head-on blow. Private cars entering the scenic spot have lined up for a long time and can't move.

It seems that many people have the same idea as me. On New Year's Day, I went to the famous Lingyan Temple for leisure and won the lottery.

I had to follow the lead car slowly. Finally, I couldn't help but find an opportunity to turn to the private parking lot on the side of the road. Although there is still a long way to go from the scenic spot, it is better than sitting in the car step by step.

Struggling in the gap between pedestrians and vehicles, I finally came to the gate of the scenic spot after half an hour. At this moment, there are so many tourists in the square outside the scenic spot that it will take a lot of trouble to enter the scenic spot. There is no shortage of procedures for ticket checking, code scanning, temperature measurement and health code presentation.

Finally, I entered the Lingyan Temple Scenic Area. There are a sea of people, and there are many times more tourists than usual. Especially in Tianwang Temple, near the gate on the right, there are many tourists, and there are long queues for burning incense and worshipping God, surrounded by cigarettes and buzzing.

Further inside, close to the Hall of Heroes where tourists gather, waves of people burn incense and worship Buddha. You come and go, you enter and I return. In order to prevent fire, a man dressed as a Taoist specially took the incense handed by pilgrims to the incense burner and put it out quickly. The cooperation was also very tacit.

In addition, the Thousand-Buddha Hall, the famous mountains and flowing waters, the Bhikkhu Pagoda, the Dizang Hall and the Wubao Three Springs are all areas where tourists are concentrated. In addition to burning incense and worshipping Buddha, there are ribbons and bowing, which is very lively. On the contrary, there are not many tourists in the Tomb Tower Forest, which is also in line with people's idea of pursuing happiness on holidays, especially the Spring Festival, a day of universal celebration.

Why is Lingyan Temple so popular and loved by tourists? I think there are many reasons:

First of all, it has a long history and rich Buddhist background. Lingyan Temple, founded in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, has a history of 1600 years. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been called the "Four Famous Temples at Sea" together with the National Assembly Temple in Zhejiang, qixia temple in Nanjing and yuquan temple in Hubei, ranking first.

Secondly, the natural scenery is magnificent and the natural conditions are superior. Stratigraphic lithology, geological structural conditions and various geological processes constitute the four characteristics of Lingyan Mountain, which are beauty, strangeness, seclusion and elegance.

Third, there are many places of interest, which are located in the north and south and built on the mountain. Along the central axis of the mountain gate, there are Tianwang Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Ursa Major Hall, Wuhua Hall, Thousand Buddha Hall, Prajna Hall, Imperial Book Pavilion, as well as pagodas, tombs and niches above Fangshan Mountain. Every cultural relic belongs to the national treasure level. In particular, the 40 colorful Lohan clay sculptures praised by tourists and experts in the Thousand Buddhas Hall are praised as "Lingyan clay sculptures are the best in the world, vivid and vivid".

In a word, Lingyan Temple is a rare Buddhist shrine, and it is an inevitable choice to be loved and worshipped by tourists.
