The pilot activity of "Enjoy the Low Carbon Cycling Season with Digital RMB" sponsored by Meituan opened the registration channel on September 9. The event will be held simultaneously in nine pilot areas of digital RMB, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xi 'an, Changsha, Chengdu and xiong'an new area. All citizens who work or live in these areas can sign up for activities by searching for "digital RMB" on the homepage of Meituan App and receive the corresponding digital RMB low-carbon red envelope reward.
The pilot project was jointly sponsored by Meituan, China Agricultural Bank, China Postal Savings Bank and China Construction Bank, which was different from the "lucky draw" in previous pilot activities. The pilot project also innovatively adopted the triple reward distribution method of "ladder reward+cash back". According to the rules of the event, users can receive 10 RMB digital low-carbon red envelope immediately after completing the event registration, and the highest 200 yuan prize can be drawn after completing the sub-wallet push. After that, users can also get the corresponding digital RMB cashback red envelope reward for their daily riding.
Dong Ximiao, chief researcher of Zhilian Finance, said that the peak of carbon dioxide emissions and the goal of carbon neutrality put forward higher requirements for China's green development, and the public's awareness of environmental protection is one of the key factors for whether the society can successfully move towards green development. This pilot fully integrates the innovative application of digital RMB with the social value of carbon emission reduction, which provides a useful reference for the follow-up use of digital RMB as an opportunity to lead green development.
Li Lihui, head of the blockchain research group of China Internet Finance Association and former president of Bank of China, said that the gradual transition from a relatively independent multi-site "single point" pilot model to a multi-site "regional networking" pilot model means that the underlying technology and operating system of digital RMB have reached the basic requirements of medium-scale and reliable operation. The multi-site linkage test initiated by the joint operation organization * * * of Meituan is conducive to expanding the application group of digital RMB, verifying the convenience and reliability of digital RMB in different application scenarios, and further optimizing the underlying architecture design and process design.
