Rules for qualifying for the European Championship Group

In this European Cup, UEFA has formulated new qualifying rules for the group stage, mainly to avoid a repeat of the last European Cup where Sweden and Denmark jointly eliminated Italy. If two or more teams have the same points after all the matches in the group stage, the final ranking of each team will be determined according to the following criteria:

A, the scores obtained by teams with the same points in the competition;

B, the goal difference of the team with the same points in the game;

C, the number of goals scored by teams with the same points (if there are more than two teams with the same final points);

D, the total goal difference of the team in all group matches;

E. The total number of goals scored by the team in all group matches;

F, the team's 2002 World Cup and 2004 European Championship qualifiers;

G, fair competition performance in the final stage (that is, compare the number of red and yellow cards of each team);

H, draw lots to decide

In addition, if the points, goal difference and the number of goals of the first two teams in the final round are exactly the same, and the two teams draw in the last 90 minutes, then the game will directly enter the penalty shootout.
