Legal basis: Article 33 of the Sports Law of the People's Republic of China implements the principle of fair competition in sports competitions. Organizers of sports competitions, athletes, coaches and referees shall abide by sports ethics, and shall not practise fraud or practise favoritism. Prohibited drugs and methods are strictly prohibited in sports. Prohibited drug inspection institutions shall strictly inspect prohibited drugs and methods. It is strictly forbidden for any organization or individual to engage in gambling activities by using sports competitions.
