Interviewee: Tracy "rice bowl": Tracy, the marketing department of a cosmetics company, a recent graduate of the journalism department of a university in this city. She stood out from thousands of applicants from top universities in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. After three interviews, she was finally selected by the marketing department of this cosmetics company. The company is divided into four departments according to the type and grade of the brand. Tracy's brand marketing department only chose her in China.
Fill in the form first: the advertising language is impressive.
Question 1 in the job application form of this cosmetics company is quite difficult: please design an advertising language for a male skin care product and explain the reasons. Send the form on Friday and hand it in on Monday. I started to fill it out on Sunday night 1 1 (don't think I was in bed a few days ago). Other questions are easy to handle, except this one ... All weekend, I called many boys in my class and started my old job-interview: "What do you want for skin care products?" There are two answers: "I want to have better skin and look handsome" and "I want to use it, but I can't use my mother's?" Smelly, how can I go out to meet people? "In this way, it took me only 20 minutes to get it: the charm comes from colorless and tasteless, and it is naturally absorbed unconsciously. Can't smell, but also protect the skin-more in line with the psychology of male compatriots who love beauty and are afraid of being laughed at!
I played a little smart, too. I referred to the slogan of a brand of this cosmetics company: beauty comes from the heart, beauty comes from XXX-it seems that they prefer the two-line slogan, so I will naturally fight for it.
I have great confidence in my application form. Whether that advertising language is good or not can be put aside for the time being, because judging it requires a lot of consumer surveys.
Play games: hold a live press conference.
In the first interview, the examiner asked some questions on his resume. The second interview is conducted in the company. Only more than 20 people were selected from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and managers were sent from all departments of the company, sitting in the back row of the dark examination room with scoring sheets. That scene was really scary.
There was a game in the interview that day: four photos of toy cars taken from different angles were sent to each group of four people, and then parts orders were placed, requiring everyone to place an order to assemble the car within 45 minutes, and then they went on stage to make a five-minute introduction.
We completed the order in 10 minutes. The key is this five-minute introduction. Introduce what? Do we have a good cooperation? Have trouble finding parts? I always feel that it is not appropriate. Since the company wants to recruit marketing personnel, will it be better to release the introduction as a new product?
Therefore, in the remaining 35 minutes, we spent most of our time making model cars with white paper and a racing track. By the time of formal introduction, the first two groups were really talking about the feeling of cooperation. It's our turn to play, and the fun will come.
We send a boy as the host, because he does the least, so we should give some performance opportunities. There is a girl who volunteered to be a "product spokesperson"-because she thinks her voice is sweet and she can pretend to be a singer, but frankly, I don't think showing this talent on this occasion may be helpful for competing for positions; Another girl made the greatest contribution when making cars and runways. She became a "product development engineer". As a "marketer", I am responsible for touting products at the press conference. "DIY is the trend now, and we only develop this kind of car to meet the consumer demand of the younger generation ..."
To tell the truth, my role is very likable and brilliant. So after the "press conference", the "host" felt something was wrong, and the conversation turned: "Now, let's talk about the feeling of doing this activity …" After the group members spoke one after another, I was advised to shut up. First of all, I have shown everything I should. On the other hand, I should not always be a bully who grabs the microphone, but also give others ample opportunities to speak.
Meet the boss: say he is too "direct"
After the interview that day, three people, including me, stayed. Not everyone else was brushed off. It is because a department is interested in us, and the boss of this department happens to be here, so he asked us for an interview. I know very well that this is the last interview. Choose 1, either succeed or say goodbye to this company from now on.
A Guangzhou boy came in. After more than 40 minutes, he walked out of the room and winked at me: "Be careful, that boss is difficult to deal with!" " "He's right, the boss is really difficult. He smiled and asked questions casually like chatting. What is difficult to deal with is his strange questions that don't play by common sense and his rude comments. For example, he asked me if my hair would be done in the shop, and I naturally said no-little girl, who doesn't want to do something new? As a result, the boss said bluntly: "Your loyalty to the brand is not enough! "
But you can't cheat, because you don't know what he is thinking. The funniest thing is that he suddenly asked me, "What kind of person do you think I am after talking for so long?" I paused and said, "You are very friendly and gentleman ..." He pursued me, "What you said made me very happy, but what shortcomings do you think I have?" I stared at him for three seconds, and I crustily skin of head and said, "You, you are too direct ..."
I went back and told my family that my mother immediately poured a pot of cold water: "Nong is a good calculation." If I were the boss, I definitely wouldn't do it ... "After I got the offer, I also asked the boss, and the boss smiled:" Maybe you are lucky. "
Tracy's unique secret
Excellent English, experience in organizing large-scale activities when working in the student union, and internship experience in the marketing department of a large company-this is Tracy's "magic weapon" that is often selected for interviews by the marketing departments of various companies. Besides these "hardware", what other secrets does she have?
Revise your resume for this position.
If you are applying for a position in the marketing department, you should write down the large-scale activities organized in detail in your resume. And so on.
Establish your own question bank
When the company interviews, it will ask some specific questions. Collect them and set up your own question bank. When summing up the gains and losses after each interview, enrich the new questions you encounter into the question bank, then write down the variants of the old questions and prepare the answers.
Express yourself, but don't make public.
For example, the question "Introduce your partner" is used by many companies. Humor is unnecessary, but your introduction must be informative-you can take the opportunity to bring yourself: "Miss XX has rich part-time experience, just like me …", "Although we only talked for 5 minutes, it is enough to make two cheerful girls become good friends …"
Learn to control the situation
How to take the initiative in group discussion depends on your ability. For example, at an appropriate time, insert a sentence "Now that everyone has said a lot, I want to collect opinions"-when everyone's information is in your hand, you will naturally control everything. (
