On September 24th, 2023, the top four men's and women's table tennis teams of Hangzhou Asian Games came into being. The women's table tennis team beat Vietnam 3-0, and the men's team beat Singapore 3-0 and advanced to the semi-finals. The Japanese men's team led by Zhang Benzhi lost to Iran 0-3 and stopped at the quarter-finals.
In the women's team 1/8 final held in the morning, the Vietnamese team, the Thai team, the Hongkong team of China and the China Taipei team respectively beat their opponents to advance to the quarter-finals. In the afternoon, four 1/4 finals started at the same time, and the women's table tennis played against Vietnam. In the knockout stage, according to the selection method of the Paris Olympic Games announced by Guo Ping before, in principle, the top three players in the team will participate in the competition. In this competition, Guo Ping sent Sun Yingsha, Chen Meng and Manyu Wang to play.
In the men's team14 final, Singapore was defeated 3-0, and Fan Zhendong 1-9,1-6, 1 1-4 defeated Feng Yaoen and Wang. Beat Zhou with 1 1-7, 1 1-5, 1 1-5.
Zhang Benzhi and the leading Japanese team were beaten out of the water. They lost 3-0 to Iran and missed the semi-final. Zhang Benzhihe, Yujie Inoguchi and Yoshimura Maharu all lost 2-3. The South Korean team beat the Indian team 3-0, and the China Taipei team beat the China Hongkong team 3-0. The men's and women's team semi-finals were held on September 25, 2023.
