Taoist temple Behind Beipo Village, about two kilometers north of Longxian County, Shaanxi Province. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, it was originally named Gushenguan; In the Yuan Dynasty, Ma Danyang lived in seclusion here and believed in Buddhism and practiced medicine, which had a great influence, so people renamed him Danyang Cave. During the Qianlong, Daoguang and Guangxu periods of the Qing Dynasty, it was renovated and expanded. In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), General Yang Hucheng toured Longxian County, visited this Taoist temple, and later helped to repair and expand some temples of the Taoist temple. After liberation, the Taoist temple has been repaired by the government for many times. The main existing buildings and landscapes are Jade Emperor Hall, Medicine King Hall, Chunyang Pavilion, Doulao Cave, Tudi Cave, Qiuzu Cave and Danyang Cave. Surrounded by mountains and waters, with cypresses and bamboos, caves are dotted with splendid halls, elegant environment and pleasant scenery. Every year, the second day of the second lunar month is the traditional temple fair day of Taoist temple.
