The Landscape Features of Jiuwan Mountain

Jiuwan Mountain presents a relatively complete vertical band spectrum from bottom to top. At the same time, due to the influence of topography, climate, soil, hydrology and other natural conditions and different seasons, Jiuwan Mountain presents rich and colorful changes: in spring, the mountains are full of flowers, just like a warm natural garden; It is a summer resort with lush foliage in summer. Autumn is full of red leaves and wild fruits, which is a scene of bumper harvest; It's freezing in winter, birds singing and beasts roaring, so don't have some fun.

On August 1 day, 2007, Jiuwan Mountain was approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council.

Guangxi Jiuwanshan National Nature Reserve (hereinafter referred to as "Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve") is located in the north of Guangxi, across Liuzhou City and Hechi City, at the junction of Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County and Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, with a total area of 252 12.8 hectares, including core area 10488.6 hectares and buffer area. The reserve covers five towns, namely Sanfang Town, Wangdongxiang Town, Tonglian Township, Baotan Township and Dongxing Town, including 18 village committees and 175 natural villages. There are Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang and Han nationalities living in the reserve.

Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve is located in the transition zone from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to hilly areas of Guangdong and Guangxi, with high in the north and low in the south, which provides a unique geographical environment and climatic conditions for the protection of subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest and its forest ecosystem dominated by vertical belts and rare and endangered wild species. The reserve has forestland area of 24 130.8 hectares, forest coverage rate of 95.7%, and standing stock of 26 10460 cubic meters.

The nature reserve is extremely rich in natural species, and it is a national nature reserve with the largest number of species and the richest biodiversity in Guangxi. The protected objects are typical, rare, endangered and representative. There are 229 families, 968 genera and 2735 species of wild vascular plants known in this nature reserve. Among them, there are three kinds of national first-class protected plants, namely boletus and Taxus chinensis. Taxus chinensis var. mairei, Trollius chinensis, second-class protected plants Alsophila spinulosa, Sabina vulgaris, Pinus bungeana, Equisetum equisetum, etc. 19 species, endangered plants Cephalotaxus hainanensis, Coptis brevicalyx, Dysosma Dysosma, ornamental trees, Orchidaceae, etc. 98 species. There are 5 classes, 35 orders, 256 genera and 40 1 species of wild vertebrates. Among them, there are 49 species of national key protected animals, 5 species of national first-class protected animals such as salamander, python, bear monkey, leopard and forest musk deer, and 44 species of national second-class protected animals such as macaque, Tibetan Emirates monkey and pangolin. The nature reserve is also the habitat of the world's rare and endangered birds partridges, and it is also the main channel for the migration of 109 species of migratory birds in central Asia, among which 13 species such as cygnet and black-crowned falcon are national key protected birds.

Jiuwanshan is a young national nature reserve. 1984 was established as an autonomous region-level protected area, and was upgraded to a national protected area with the approval of the State Council in April 2007. Protected Area Management Bureau was officially listed in June 2007 (hereinafter referred to as Jiuwanshan Management Bureau). 20 1 1 February, with the approval of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Organization Committee, the administration was upgraded to a department-level unit, with 90 on-the-job cadres and workers, including 40 management technicians and 50 patrol personnel. The Administration implements the three-level management of "administration-management sub-bureau-protection station", and consists of four departments: office, planning and finance department, protection management department and research management department. Set up management sub-bureaus in Rongshui, Luocheng and Huanjiang counties respectively; There are 1 1 protection stations in Pingying, Yuxi, Jiuren, Xiao Jiu, Sancha, Qingshuitang, Madong, Rulong, Dong Chi, Weilinjiang and Yangmeiao, and two police stations in Jiuwanshan and Jiuren.

Qi Xin made concerted efforts to achieve good results.

Since the establishment of 5438+0 1 in June, 2007, with the correct leadership and strong care and support of the Forestry Department of the autonomous region, all cadres and workers have worked hard to overcome the difficulties of starting without funds, vehicles and office space, unite as one, work hard and innovate.

The development of nature reserves focuses on changing ideas, changing ways of thinking, updating development concepts, breaking the existing mindset, and examining, planning and promoting the protection management and sustainable development of nature reserves with new horizons, new ideas and new measures of scientific development.

In order to improve the professional quality and management level of cadres and workers in an all-round way, the administration arranges two scientific researchers to go to colleges and universities for further study and training in professional knowledge every year; Organize short-term training with different contents for employees every year to improve their professional knowledge and protective skills; Encourage cadres and workers in protected areas to actively study by themselves and improve their own quality and professional ability. Through the ways of "going out" and "please come in", all cadres and workers were trained, which greatly improved the political quality, professional level, management ability, service quality and law enforcement level of the reserve team.

During the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, Jiuwanshan Administration completed the infrastructure construction of the General Administration and various protection stations, as well as the setting of monuments, boundary markers and signs in the protected areas. Among them, the new comprehensive office building of the Administration is 2340 square meters; Burying 20 boundary pillars and 227 boundary pillars; Set 100 descriptive, propaganda and indicative signs; Open patrol road 144 km; 2 new forest fire watchtowers; Scientifically build a 55.2-kilometer biological fireproof forest belt.

The freezing rain and snow disaster at the beginning of 2008 seriously damaged the forest ecology and infrastructure of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve, and the damaged area of trees reached 248 13.5 hectares. Infrastructure such as houses, roads, power supply, water supply, patrols, and fire-proof forest roads in forest areas have also been seriously damaged, and nature reserves have lost more than 800 million yuan due to disasters. After the disaster occurred, the overall cadres and the masses, under the leadership and deployment of the Forestry Bureau of the autonomous region, took the initiative to attack, actively responded, concentrated their efforts, and organized the people in the forest areas to do a good job in self-help in production and carry out disaster relief work. * * * Repair 93km of forest road, patrol forest road117km, fire forest road125mm, water pipe 8000m, power supply line19.6km, damaged houses1243m2, and the life and production order in the reserve will be restored soon.

In order to improve the living conditions of the people in the nature reserve and protect the ecological environment, the administration cooperated with the government departments of Rongshui, Luocheng and Huanjiang counties to vigorously carry out the construction of biogas digesters and the work of returning farmland to forests. The household rate of biogas digesters in villages and towns around the reserve reached 62.8%, and the area of returning farmland to forests was 1 120.7 mu. At the same time, the administrative authorities provide policy, technical and information assistance to the people in the protected areas, and vigorously develop community diversity. For example, the development of bamboo forest, economic forest and aquaculture has directly benefited more than 2,000 households.

Green sea and heart are harmonious and beautiful.

Although Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve spans two cities and three counties, it has a wide area and a long line, and the ethnic customs in the reserve are different, so it is difficult to manage and protect it. However, all the cadres and staff of the Administration are enthusiastic about serving the masses, building a harmonious society and caring for nature. They took pains to travel all over Qian Shan and solved many difficulties and problems. All cadres and workers focus on the overall situation and become rangers to build a beautiful home.

Grasping stability, seeking development and promoting harmony in forest areas. There are 29 12 families of people of all ethnic groups living in the periphery, core area and experimental area of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve. In order to change the long-standing idea that people in forest areas depend on mountains and trees, the Administration strives to find ways for people to get rich and solve problems in life and production. In the past three years, 2.63 million yuan has been invested to improve the infrastructure of water, electricity and roads in people's residential areas in nature reserves. Build roads and sidewalks 122.9 km for villages around the forest area, build 5 waiting halls for convenience, subsidize 8 basketball courts, and set up water and electricity for people in the forest area for 30 km. It has greatly improved people's production conditions and living standards, won the understanding and attention of people in forest areas and surrounding areas, and then consciously participated in the cause of nature protection, forming a harmonious and developing good community relationship.

Safeguard people's livelihood, seek improvement and develop the four-park economy. The Administration has formulated an incentive mechanism to encourage people in the nature reserve to build high-quality bamboo demonstration parks, ecological Myrica rubra demonstration parks, medicinal plants demonstration parks and chicken demonstration parks in the collective forest land of the experimental area of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve. Through the construction of "four demonstration parks", we will adjust the community economic development structure of nature reserves, develop the characteristic economy of forest areas, increase the economic income of community people, constantly improve and consolidate the management system of nature reserves and communities, and finally realize the sustainable development of nature reserves and communities.

Unified planning, improve visibility, and build an eco-tourism brand in the reserve. In order to make the eco-tourism of Jiuwanshan National Nature Reserve embark on the track of scientific and standardized development, build the eco-tourism brand of Jiuwanshan, enhance the self-protection ability of the reserve and realize sustainable development. The Administration invited experts from the Planning Institute of the State Forestry Administration to hold a symposium on ecotourism construction in protected areas with the tourism departments of surrounding counties, and established the idea of extending ecotourism in Jiuwanshan Protected Area to the scenic spots of surrounding counties, so as to make ecotourism bigger and stronger. The existing natural marble boundary markers in the reserve reflect its uniqueness, permanence, naturalness and appreciation, and become a beautiful landscape in the reserve, ranking first in the country. Developing eco-tourism in nature reserves not only meets the needs of some people around nature reserves for employment and increasing economic income, but also strengthens the team that loves nature and protects resources.

The lush 90,000-mountain natural treasure house is a green ocean gathered by many foresters, and everyone is like a wave. The beautiful and mysterious nature reserve, with birds and flowers, is a harmonious home woven by the wishes of rangers. The ranger played a harmonious melody between man and nature with painstaking efforts and actions, which echoed in the green ocean of 90 thousand mountains forever. ...

Make persistent efforts to create a brilliant future.

The Twelfth Five-Year Plan is the key five years for the development of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve. In the next five years, the Administration will devote more confidence and full spirit to the cause of natural ecological protection, protect and develop 90,000 mountains, and strive to become a model of nature reserves in the whole region.

In the next five years, under the guidance of Scientific Outlook on Development, Jiuwanshan Management Bureau will fully implement the spirit of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the national and regional conference on the construction and management of wildlife and nature reserves, closely focus on the development idea of building a strong forestry area and an ecological civilization demonstration area, and take the protection of natural environment and natural resources as the center; The purpose is to protect biodiversity, ensure the forest ecosystem in the middle subtropical zone, and protect the safety, stability, natural growth and development of national key rare animals and plants; Focus on the supervision of species rescue, protection, breeding and utilization, strengthen the construction of protection management, scientific research and monitoring system, strengthen foreign exchanges and cooperation, and promote the healthy development of wildlife protection. It will lay a solid foundation for realizing the goal of building an ecological civilization demonstration area and a strong forestry area, and make new contributions to accelerating the construction of a prosperous, civilized and harmonious new Guangxi.

Looking forward to the future, the prospects are bright and there is a long way to go. The focus of the Authority's work has been made clear. First of all, build a team of cadres and workers with sincere unity and strong combat effectiveness, and include 90,000 mountains in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" for talent introduction, and plan to introduce 2 doctoral students, 4 graduate students and 6 undergraduates to enrich the scientific research team; We will continue to adopt the methods of "please come in" and "go out" to train on-the-job employees in stages and at different levels to improve their comprehensive quality. Secondly, according to the principle of practicality and innovation, the construction of the comprehensive office building, six protection stations and ecological protection billboards of the Administration will be completed before May 20 12, and the Phyllostachys pubescens forest in Yuxi and other state-owned forest areas will be cultivated to give full play to its economic and ecological benefits and set an example. Third, according to the unique natural landscape of Qingshuitang protection station, develop tourist attractions and launch the brand of unique ecological charm of Jiuwanshan; At the same time, four demonstration parks will be built in the collective forest land of the experimental area of Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve: high-quality bamboo demonstration park, ecological bayberry demonstration park, medicinal plant demonstration park and native chicken breeding demonstration park. Fourth, increase biodiversity conservation projects, scientific research facilities and monitoring projects: establish scientific research centers, rare plant experimental areas and ecological positioning observation stations, and build two meteorological observation stations, two hydrological observation stations, 1 migratory bird observation station and 1 wildlife monitoring station.

Through unremitting efforts, Jiuwanshan Administration has made the whole nature reserve reach a new level in management technology, safety measures and infrastructure construction, especially the integrity of the reserve has begun to take shape. It is reasonable to believe that Jiuwanshan Nature Reserve will usher in unprecedented development during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period.
