2. The situation of skilled immigrants in Canada
Canada has a beautiful environment and developed economy, and has the reputation of "Maple Leaf Country". Nowadays, with the constant changes of Canada's immigration policy, more and more people begin to apply for Canadian immigration. And these immigration methods are suitable for people of different degrees.
Skilled immigrants in Canada need applicants to have a certain language foundation, and they should be comprehensively scored in terms of age, education, working years, extra points for their spouses, language, and whether they have a work permit. At present, the threshold of skilled migration is increasing year by year, and fewer and fewer applicants meet the standards. Each status in Canada puts forward separate application conditions for skilled immigrants.
Application conditions:
1, age 2 1 ~ 55 years old;
2, IELTS 5 points (reading, can be reduced to 4 points, listening and writing is not less than 5 points);
3. The occupations in the last five years are consistent with the list of occupations in short supply published by the Immigration Bureau for two consecutive years;
4. Sufficient funds for settling down (about 654.38 million RMB for a family of three);
5. College degree or above;
6. Have a strong desire to immigrate and work in Canada;
7. A job placement plan written by a Canadian lawyer details the job opportunities in the Canadian labor market and their contribution to society.
3. Introduction of Canadian Permanent Identity Card
Canadian Permanent Resident Card (PR) must carry and present a valid PR or PRTD to board a plane or take any other commercial flight to Canada. If you don't carry a PR card or PRTD, you may not be able to go to Canada by plane, train, car or boat.
When you come back from a trip outside Canada, it is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid and apply for a new PR card when the current card expires. If your PR card expires, it doesn't mean that you have lost your permanent resident status.
Canadian permanent resident refers to a person who has obtained permanent resident status by immigrating to Canada, but is not a Canadian citizen. Permanent residents are citizens of other countries. People in temporary Canada, such as students or foreign workers, are not permanent residents. Refugees resettled from overseas become permanent residents through government aid programs or privately sponsored refugee programs. People who applied for refugees in Canada did not become permanent residents at that time. To become one of them, the Immigration and Refugee Board must first approve their request. Then, they must apply for and obtain permanent resident status.
Your PR card can be used to prove that you have permanent resident status in Canada. If you travel outside Canada, you need to show your card and passport when you take commercial transportation (such as plane, ship, train and bus). Permanent residents who do not have a valid permanent resident card or travel outside Canada with a permanent resident card need to apply for a permanent resident travel document before returning to Canada by commercial vehicle.
What can Canadian permanent residents do:
Get most of the social benefits that Canadian citizens get, including medical insurance;
Live, work or study anywhere in Canada;
Apply for Canadian citizenship;
Protected by Canadian laws and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms;
You must pay taxes and abide by all laws of Canada's federal, provincial and municipal governments.
