There are 832 poverty-stricken counties in China, including 88 in Yunnan, which is the largest among all provinces and cities. It can be seen that the incidence of poverty in southwest China is relatively high, while the number of poverty-stricken counties in Gansu and Shaanxi provinces in northwest China is also relatively large.

There are no poverty-stricken counties in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Liaoning, Shandong, Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Among them, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning and Shandong belong to the northern region in a broad sense, and the other five provinces and cities are located in the south.

Exit procedure of poverty-stricken counties

① County-level application. The leading group for poverty alleviation and development in counties (cities, districts) conducts self-examination against the exit standards of poor counties. Meet the exit conditions, with the consent of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, submitted to the provincial leading group for poverty alleviation and development in the form of a written report.

According to the reports of cities and counties, the provincial leading group for poverty alleviation and development first verified the poverty incidence rate of the counties (cities, districts) that applied for withdrawal according to the relevant data of the national poverty alleviation and development information system and the Anhui poverty alleviation big data management platform.

4 review and publicity. The provincial leading group for poverty alleviation and development conducts a comprehensive assessment according to the results of city and county reports, departmental inspections and third-party assessments. If the incidence of comprehensive poverty is higher than 2%, put forward suggestions to the provincial party Committee and government not to quit.

(5) Announcement of examination and approval. Provincial poverty-stricken counties shall be examined and approved by the provincial party committee and government according to the audit opinions of the provincial leading group for poverty alleviation and development, and the provincial government shall announce its withdrawal to the public. State-level poverty-stricken counties shall be examined and approved by the provincial party committee and government according to the evaluation and inspection results and feedback of the leading group for poverty alleviation and development of the State Council.
