The 2022 League of Legends Global Finals is divided into finals, group matches and elimination matches.
The final will be held from September 29th, 2022 to June 4th, 2022 at 5438+/kloc-0, Pedregal e-sports stadium in Mexico city.
The group stage will be held on June 7-June 10, June 10, June 13-June 16 in new york, USA.
The knockout stage is divided into quarter finals, semi-finals and finals.
The quarterfinals will be held at the State Agricultural Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 20221October 20-23 10.
The semi-final was held at the State Agricultural Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, Toronto, USA on October 29-30, 2022/KLOC-0.
The final will be held on June 6, 2022 at Chase Center Arena in San Francisco, California, USA.
Event flow:
12 finalists will be divided into 2 groups with 6 teams in each group. Each team will play 1 against other teams in the same group. After this round of competition, the team ranked 1 will advance to the group stage, while the teams ranked 3rd and 4th will play 1 for five games, and the winner will challenge the second seed team of another group to compete for the last two promotion places.
The two finalists who finally advance to the group stage will be decided.
After the finals, the four promotion teams will be randomly assigned to the existing group stage by lottery, and the teams in the same division will not be assigned to the same group when grouping.
The top four teams in the final stage will join the 12 team that directly participates in the group stage. Subsequently, the 16 team will be divided into four groups, with four teams in each group, and each team will play two games with the same team. The top two in each group will enter the knockout stage.
In the knockout stage, eight teams, including T 1, GEN, DRX and DK from South Korea, EDG, JDG and RNG from China, and RGE from European LEC, will play the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals in turn.
In the knockout stage, the competition will become a single-loss knockout system, and all competitions will be BO5. The competition will be decided by lottery on the last day of the group stage.
The winning team will win the global championship in 2022.
