A Brief Introduction of Gao Qiu in Water Margin

Gao Qiu (? -1 126), one of the imperial commanders in the late Northern Song Dynasty. Because he is the main villain in the four classical novels Water Margin, he is widely known.

In the seventh year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1 1 17), Gao Qiu was the memorial. In May of the 4th year of Xuanhe (1 122), Gao Qiu Jiakaifu Yitong No.3 Division. In May of the first year of Jingkang (1126th), Gao Qiu died.

In Dangkou Zhi, Gao Qiu colluded with Liangshan Cai Jing and others, and was later killed by Lei Heng and Zhu Tong. Zhu Tong treated Lin Chong with his own head, but Lin Chong was grieved by his own head.

Gao Qiu appeared as a street hooligan. Because of its superb cuju skills, it was appreciated by the late king who loved cuju. After Duan Wang acceded to the throne and became a Daojun, Gao Qiu had a successful career and was soon promoted to Qiu.

Gao Qiu later set a trap for Lin Chong, because his adopted son Gao Yanei took a fancy to Lin Chong's wife, so he was sent to Cangzhou. Lu Qian and Fu An were sent to kill Lin Chong, but they were killed by Lin Chong. Lin rushed to Liangshan.

After Liangshan grew, Gao Qiu wanted to get rid of this eyesore and led the troops to crusade, but he was taken alive up the mountain.

After Song Jiang was wooed, Gao Qiu still suspected that he was a Liangshan hero and secretly killed Lu Junyi and Song Jiang with poisoned wine. Ruan was also taken away by his henchmen and demoted to a civilian.
