1. If it is confirmed, the best way is to take it directly to the veterinarian for treatment. If you think it can be operated at home, take a closer look. First, pull out the stinger with sterilized tweezers. Stinger is generally a black spot in the red and swollen part, which can be found if you look closely. If you don't have tweezers at home, you can use something else instead, preferably alcohol disinfection. After pulling out the stinger, wash the wound with a rag dipped in soapy water, then take out an ice pack from the refrigerator, wrap it with a towel, and apply it to the wound cold. The time of each ice pack should not exceed 5 minutes. At this point, the dog knows that you are helping it treat, and generally does not resist.
2. Observe after ice compress, and observe the situation of the stupid dog after ice compress. If the dog has had allergic reactions, such as weakness, difficulty breathing, or even short-term shock, don't toss at home and take it directly to the vet. Keep an eye on it on the road and try to keep it awake. If there is no particularly big reaction, but it looks helpless, it means that it is only pain caused by swelling, and it will be fine without threatening life safety.
3. How to relieve the pain There is still very important work to be done after ice compress. Baking soda paste should be used to help dogs relieve pain. The preparation process is as follows: 1 tbsp baking soda is mixed with about 1.5 tbsp water, stirred into a uniform paste, and then applied to the wound, or widely applied to the swollen part. Be sure to carefully observe the dog's condition within 24 hours after being stung to see if there is any serious allergic reaction. In the meantime, you can continue to apply cold compress.
