Interpretation of Tangtou Pavilion in Vernacular Language

The Vernacular Interpretation of Tangtou Song is a book published by People's Medical Publishing House, written by Li. This book is compiled by Wang Ang, a famous doctor in Qing Dynasty, with 205 famous prescriptions, including composition, function and indications. It is rhyming, concise, catchy and easy to remember, and has been well received by the majority of Chinese medicine practitioners. Yan Yun, a close friend, supplemented nearly 100 commonly used prescriptions as an addendum on the basis of the original work, making its content more complete and rich. However, due to the limitation of style, the original work is difficult to understand, and the People's Medical Publishing House published a vernacular version in the 1960s. Once published, it was very popular and has been revised three times. In order to make the original work better adapt to the development of the times, the fourth edition of this book was revised. This revision makes it more perfect, and explains the sources of various drugs, and then discusses it in eight parts: melody, annotation, composition, usage, function, indications, prescription analysis and attached prescriptions. The content is comprehensive, rich and practical. Functions and indications are more standardized and accurate. Analyze the prescription in detail according to the monarch, minister and assistant, and reveal the law of prescription medication. Appropriate supplementary prescriptions broaden the scope of application of the main prescription and increase the number of prescriptions to 445.
