Zhou Zhimian (1824— 1889) is a native of Jiuzhou Town, Xixiu District, Anshun City. He has been gifted since he was a child. At the age of eighteen, he entered the city as a champion. Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty was a scholar for six years (1867) and ten years (187 1), which supplemented Zhili County.
In the second year of Guangxu (1876), Ding You returned to his hometown of Jiuzhou to teach, and later served as professor and chief lecturer of Fengyi College in Anshun. 1879, on the occasion of the mutiny in Xincheng, Zhou Dawu, the magistrate of Guizhou, admired Zhou Zhimin's knowledge and wanted to fill the vacancy for the counselor, but declined Zhou Dawu because of his unsatisfactory career. Later, the court read Zhou Zhiming's simplicity and filial piety and appointed him as Professor Zhenyuan.
In the sixth year of Guangxu (1880), Cen Chunxuan, a good friend of Lan, was appointed as the governor of Guizhou. In order to cultivate talents in Guizhou, Zhou Zhimian was invited to give lectures at Guishan Academy, a famous college in the provincial capital, as a professor. During this period, in the 12th year of Guangxu (1886), I trained a large number of sages such as Zhao Yijiong and his younger brother Ji, the first literary champion in the history of Guizhou, who were admired and praised by the people at that time and made great contributions to the educational development of Guizhou and my hometown.
Zhou Zhimian is a modest man and a good neighbor. He and his brother Zhou have lived under the same roof for decades. At that time, there was a local tyrant who was bullying and violent in the village. The locals are afraid of him. Although Zhou Zhimian is a neighbor, he is not afraid of his insolence. He often treats others with courtesy, convinces others with reason and touches people with sincerity, and finally makes his insolence converge, and the two families are as friendly as guests. When I was lecturing in Fengyi Academy of Zhou Zhimian, I once knew He Weifeng, a famous person in this county, who was not famous at that time. Seeing that he was handsome and extraordinary, and destined to be a wizard, he married his daughter and devoted himself to cultivation. He Weifeng got the Taishan tutor and made great progress in his studies. In the 11th year of Guangxu (1885), he was promoted, which laid the foundation for Shi Jing, a famous soldier later, and was known as "the south wind and the north dragon".
The eldest son Zhou Shiguang, Zhong Shuntian juren; The second son, Zhou Xiguang, paid tribute at the age of 21. After entering Beijing, he served as an official in Beijing, and later he was promoted to the director of the Ministry of Punishment (four products); Zhou Long, the third son, is a highly respected cultural celebrity in Jiuzhou. He paid tribute at the age of 30 and is famous for his poetry and calligraphy. The fourth son, Zhou Ganguang, won the first prize in the Gong Sheng exam in Anshun Prefecture 1900 and was commended by the magistrate. He has been an official all his life and engaged in education. He is the founder of the government-run school of Jiuzhou Primary School, and he is good at temperament and calligraphy. He studied under Zhao Ti and became a famous calligrapher in Jiuzhou.
Zhou Zhimian was a disseminator of the culture in central Guizhou. He was highly valued by the sages at that time for his knowledge and knowledge, and made friends with celebrities such as Mo Tingzhi, Huang Fangbo and Wen Xingqu. Since teaching, with his profound knowledge, he has trained many talents for his hometown, such as Huang Guilun, who was selected as a scholar in imperial academy in the 9th year of Guangxu (1883), and Yao, who was selected as a scholar in the 9th year of Guangxu (1883).
