Xue was born on 6 14. He is a descendant of Xue Andou, a famous Northern Wei Dynasty soldier. His father was an official of the Sui Dynasty. Later, his father died young and his family came down. He joined the army for fame. The first person to join the army was Zhang Shigui, a famous soldier in the Tang Dynasty. Although there is a little success, it has never been taken seriously. It was not until 645 that Li Shimin personally signed Goguryeo, which brought him the opportunity to step onto the historical stage. First, he single-handedly killed the enemy generals, rescued A Lang general Liu Junqiong who was besieged by the enemy, and became famous in the army. In June of the same year, Goguryeo's 250,000 troops were stationed along the mountain to resist Tang Jun, and Li Shimin ordered the generals to lead the troops to attack separately. In this battle, Xue Bai gave a loud cry and was invincible. Tang Jun followed suit and won a great victory. Xue was attracted by his bravery on the battlefield and specially summoned Xue, who was just an ordinary soldier at that time, to raise him. At this point, Xue began to show his talents and got a stage to show himself.
In 658 and 659, he fought Goguryeo many times and won a great victory. After the war, he was named General Zuo Wuwei for his meritorious service. Especially in 66 1 year, Xue lingbing went to Tianshan to attack tiele, whose surname was nine. When the two armies confronted each other, more than a dozen enemy troops came to challenge Xue to get cold feet, shooting three arrows and three people in a row, scaring the others to dismount and surrender immediately. Xue took advantage of the situation and returned with a crushing defeat. Afterwards, it was circulated in the army that he set the Tianshan Mountains with three arrows, which made him famous. Then in 668, he and Li Ji destroyed Koguryo. However, in 670, he was defeated in the Great River Africa War with Tubo, so he was demoted as a civilian. Although Goguryeo's rebirth resistance was activated again, she was imprisoned for some things during this period. It was not until 68 1 that it was reopened, and the official history of Gua Governor also achieved a great victory in Yunzhou in 682. Xue died in 683 at the age of seventy.
