1. Any large insect that constitutes the order Dragonflies, with large head, many compound eyes, short antennae, slender abdomen, four narrow wings, reticular veins and thick jaws, is suitable for accommodating prey and is completely harmless to people. Adults feed on insects caught in flight, killing a large number of flies and mosquitoes, while aquatic nymphs prey on and kill mosquito larvae.
