But Zhuang Zhou's "life is like a dream" doesn't stop there. His dream is love, love, love and love is a derivative dream. It woke up in this dream, but not yet. The so-called enlightened people, wise men and people who see through the world of mortals think they are thorough and delicate about the world. All they get is love, love and love, but they are still dreaming. So is the so-called epiphany of Li Bai and Su Shi.
Zhuang Zhou finally couldn't tell whether Zhuang Zhou's dream turned into a butterfly or the butterfly's dream turned into Zhuang Zhou. He is asking the world: all of you, have any of you broken free from multiple dreams? Zhuang Zhou gloated and looked down on the masses. So, is he out of his dream? Unfortunately, since he can't tell the butterfly from Zhuang Zhou, he is still dreaming. The real escape from dreams should be to "sit and forget" and forget your own existence. Zhuang Zhou is going to Chu, and the public opinion in Chu is like a frog. It is said that Zhuang Zhou will replace Hui Shi as the prime minister of Chu. Hui Shi set a tight encirclement in order to protect the country, and made a manhunt in Chu. Zhuang Zhou personally came to see Hui Shi: "There is a kind of bird called Phoenix, which only eats spiritual food from the buttonwood tree and drinks ritual spring water. An owl has a dead mouse in its hand and is about to swallow it. The phoenix flew through the air, and the owl looked up and shouted,' Go away, don't take my dead mouse!' Mr. Hui Shi, how does the dead mouse in your hand taste? You really scared me when you drank it. Hui Shi blushed: "No, I'm just a little ignorant and I'm about to give up. Since teacher Zhuang likes it, I won't refuse it. So Hui Shi continued to be an owl and Zhuang Zhou continued to be a phoenix. Zhuang Zhou believes that owls, phoenixes, butterflies, Hui Shi and Zhuang Zhou are all things in dreams, which are different states of dreams. In this case, there is no difference between the two, and his satire on Hui Shi is meaningless.
Although he studied in his dream, Zhuangzi was very diligent. He made a pile of leaves, vegetable leaves and cabbage roots for his wife and children to chew, just like feeding rabbits. He hid in the lacquer garden and leaned under the lacquer tree to realize the Tao.
He realized three facts.
In the first case, everything is the same. "Man" prides himself on being the spirit of all things and despises toads, turtles, water hyacinths and so on. In fact, heaven and earth are a melting pot, God is a fireside worker, and the materials are all the same. When the stove workers make such a mess, they create people. When they make such a mess, they create toads or Eupatorium adenophorum. Finally, everyone has to go back to the stove to refine them. It is not certain who will be messed up by the group next time. You became human by accident, so what are you proud of?
Second, human beings can't compete with nature. The name of the central emperor is Chaos, and he has no seven senses. Nanhai Emperor and Beihai Emperor wanted the central emperor to breathe, eat, see beautiful women and listen to music, so they cut an eye on the round head every day for seven days, but chaos died. This is the result of "transforming nature" and "man can conquer nature".
Third, freedom is just an illusion. A big fish thousands of miles long has become a big bird thousands of miles long, and it looks very free. A fin and a flapping wing are only a few Wan Li, but without water, big fish will die of thirst. Without the wind, the big bird will fall and break into pieces.
Zhuang Zhou in Butterfly Dream said such strange things, which made people feel quite stuffy. But people don't have to care about this butterfly's dream, so people are still fighting for fame and fortune. There are too many checkpoints, even Zhuang Zhou himself is not immune. In order to spread rumors that the King of Chu hired him as the Prime Minister, he also found Hui Shi, saying that he was a phoenix and didn't eat dead mice. He is satirizing that Hui Shi is an owl, and his persistence is equivalent to a dead mouse. Why write a long confession when you know it thoroughly? So I don't think Zhuang Zhou's become a butterfly has been completely transformed.
Zhuang Zhou realized the Tao under the lacquer tree. Because the lacquer tree is sticky and butterflies fly around making trouble, Tao realized the gains and losses. Siddhartha was enlightened under a tree and suddenly became Sakyamuni, because the prince leaned against the bodhi tree and there were no butterflies flying.
