Introduction to Freudian Psychology was published in 1954. It was written to introduce Freud's personality structure, motivation and development to students and the public. Obviously, the purpose of writing has been achieved, because many people read this book as soon as it came out.
For many years, we have always wanted to write a book introducing Jung's psychological thought. But we always hesitate, because we don't think such a book will have too many readers. American psychologists, like psychologists in other countries, pay little attention to this Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist who died in 196 1. Their only interest in Jung was his word association experiment at the beginning of this century (Jung therefore came to the United States to give lectures at the invitation of American psychologists in 1909) and his later experiments designed to measure his introversion and extroversion concepts. When they finally start to consider his ideas, they tend to reject them. They are interested in jung.

Criticism is sometimes fair, but it is more based on misunderstanding of jung.
Of course, part of the fault should be attributed to Jung himself. His loose writing often makes it difficult to understand his ideas. Because his articles have a deep understanding of topics that people don't know much and have little interest in, many readers are discouraged and afraid to ask.
However, in recent years, positive interest in Jungian psychology has begun to develop, especially among the younger generation of psychologists, college students and the general public.
