Fluorocarbon paint is popular now, which is very sun-resistant. Phenolic aldehyde and alkyd are rarely used. They are too low-grade, have a strong taste and are not easy to dry.
Based on your original primer, you won't see what the original paint is, so you can only use alkyd paint. Be careful not to brush too thick.
