Whose tomb is the Ming Tomb?
Ming tombs. Located at the foot of Mount Qomolangma, Dulong Mansion at the southern foot of Zijin Mountain in Nanjing, it is the mausoleum of Zhu Yuanzhang and Ma Huanghou, the founding emperors of the Ming Dynasty. As early as the ninth year of Hongwu (1376), Zhu Yuanzhang chose this treasure trove of geomantic omen as the mausoleum, and construction started the following year. In the fifteenth year of Hongwu (1382), Ma Huanghou died of illness and was buried here. In the thirty-first year of Hongwu (1398), Zhu Yuanzhang collapsed and was buried in this mausoleum.
