Qin Shihuang once changed the name of a place to cut off the "kingliness", but he still gave birth to three emperors

After Qin Shihuang unified the world, he was always worried that the country he had worked so hard to conquer would be taken away by others. When he heard the alchemist say that those who rule the world are all buried in the dragon veins because of their ancestral tombs. Therefore, in order to make his rule last for thousands of generations, Qin Shihuang tried every means to dig out dragon veins all over the country to prevent anyone from proclaiming himself king and emperor again. However, things went counterproductive, causing anger and resentment, and chaos in the world. Soon, people rose up against Qin, and the Qin Dynasty became the first short-lived dynasty in the history of our country.

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Danyang was a territory of the Chu State. In 222 BC, Qin Shihuang pacified the Jiangnan area of ??Chu State and established Kuaiji County, which governs present-day southeastern Jiangsu and eastern Zhejiang. Danyang was also changed to Yunyang County. For such a small Yunyang county, Qin Shihuang spent a lot of effort and even tried to destroy the "king spirit" of this place at all costs.

It turns out that Qin Shihuang had his own reasons for doing this. When he passed by the realm of Danyang on his eastward tour, his accompanying historian made a divination and said that Yunyang had "king energy". Therefore, Qin Shihuang was very afraid that an emperor would come out of Danyang to compete for his power, so he immediately issued an order to break Danyang's "feng shui". One of these "measures" is to change the name of "Yunyang" county with "wangqi" to "Qua". The second measure is to change the section of "Kuiji Chi Road" passing through Danyang to a winding "cut straight road to make a curve", that is, to deliberately turn the straight road into a curve. The purpose is also to break Danyang's "king spirit".

The name was changed and the road was completed, but the alchemist's prediction unfortunately came true in the end. In 430 years (222 years) after the death of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of Danyang was born - Sun Quan of the Three Kingdoms. Sun Quan was originally from Fuyang, Zhejiang, and later his ancestors moved to Qu'a. His grandfather Sun Zhong made a living by growing melons in Situ, Danyang. He was buried in Baihe Mountain of Situ after his death. His father Sun Jian was buried in Wuling Port of Situ in Danyang after his death. The tomb is called "Gaoling". ". In the Southern Dynasties, Danyang gave birth to two more generations of founding emperors. One of them is Xiao Daocheng, also known as Shaobo, nicknamed Doujiang. He was Emperor Gao of Qi in the Southern Dynasty and was a native of Xiaojiaxiang, Fangxian Town, Danyang. He died at the age of 56 and was buried in the Taihe Mausoleum at Lion Bay, Huqiao, Danyang. The other one is Xiao Yan, also known as Shuda, known as Emperor Wu of Liang in history. He was also a native of Xiaojia Lane, Fangxian Town, Danyang. He died in 549 at the age of 85 and was buried in Sancun Lane, Jinglin, Danyang.
