The Yongning River has five sources, all coming from the remaining veins of Huangfu Mountain. The north source is called Wuji River, and the upper reaches is Xinji Reservoir; the east source comes from Huangfu Township, Chuzhou, and flows into Langfeng Reservoir in the north. ; the middle source comes from Xiaomachang, 3 kilometers south of Zhangguangji, Chuzhou, and flows north into Desheng Reservoir; the south source comes from the junction of Dingyuan and Chuzhou, and flows northeast to Deshengji and Dongyuan; the other source comes from Jiepai It gathers at the southeastern county boundary and flows northward into the Jiedong Reservoir. Sangjian River originates from Buffalo Wang at the junction of Zhailang and Fanggang townships in this county. Qingchun River originates from Xingqiaoba in Lianpu Township. It collects water from mountain streams and flows into Qingchun Reservoir in the south. It flows south to Xiachenzhuang and turns eastward, joining the main stem at Jiadianzhuang, with a total length of 23 kilometers.
The Geng River has two sources, the south and the north. The north source originates from Fangdachong, Fengxiao Township, in the eastern part of the county. The south source originates from the estuary of Mingxiao Township. The two sources go westward and converge at Dongxiaoliuzhuang, turning to the northwest. The Huangqiao River originates from the Zhanjia Reservoir at the foot of Wuyun Mountain at the junction of Dingyuan and Fengyang counties. Nvshan Lake is located on the right bank of the Huai River and is the end point of the Chi River. It is eight kilometers north of Mingguang Town, Mingguang City.
