Ruyang Dahuling [located at the northern foot of Funiu Mountain, generally refers to a series of peaks between Ruhe Valley in Ruyang County and Neibu Beach in Ruyang County, Henan Province.
The highest peak is 16 kilometers north of the county seat, with an elevation of 789 meters. The main ridge runs east-west, and the Rubai (Ruyang to Bai Yuan) highway passes through the middle; Luonan Expressway passes from the east side. Dahuling lies in the middle of Ruyang, which naturally divides Ruyang County into two parts: Shannan and Shanbei. Lingbei belongs to Taoying Township and Caidian Township, Lingnan belongs to Chengguan Town and Xiaodian Town, and the easternmost and westernmost are adjacent to Wenquan Town of Ruzhou City and Gezhai Township of Yichuan County respectively. Shannan belongs to the Huaihe River Basin, and the water flows into the Huaihe River, which is the largest river in Ruyang County. Dukang River, Liugou River and Duzhuang River in the north of the mountain flow into the Yellow River, among which Dukang River, which breeds Du Kang culture, originated in the western section of Dahuling. Dahuling was originally a barren mountain. In 1957, Henan Provincial Forestry Department established a state-owned Dahuling Forest Farm here, with an operating area of 59,6 mu. After more than 5 years of forest management, it has now become the largest public welfare pure plantation state-owned forest farm in Henan Province.
