When was Luoyang the capital?

Luoyang, formerly known as Luoyi, Luoyang, Luo Jing, Luo Jing, Shen Du and Luocheng, is located in western Henan, in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. It is named because it is located in the sun of Luohe. It is the first national historical and cultural city announced by the State Council, a world cultural city and one of the four ancient capitals in China.

Luoyang has a history of more than 5,000 years of civilization, 4,000 years of city building and 1500 years of capital building. Thirteen dynasties including Xia, Shang, Western Zhou, Eastern Zhou, Eastern Han, Cao Wei, Western Jin, Northern Wei, Sui, Tang, Wu Zhou, Hou Liang, Later Tang and Later Jin all established their capitals in Luoyang, making Luoyang the capital of thirteen ancient dynasties.
