Guanlan Printmaking Village, a Hakka village with a long history, is a pure land hidden in the bustling depths of the city. It is the hometown of Chen Yanqiao, a pioneer of the new woodcut movement in China, a famous printmaker and an art theorist. People call it "the most beautiful village in Shenzhen".
In front of Guanlan Printmaking Village, there are large rape fields, beautiful lotus ponds and strawberry gardens. Several carved buildings in the village in the late Qing Dynasty add a lot of historical and cultural atmosphere to this beautiful village, especially in the season when lotus flowers are in full bloom. The green rape flowers are really beautiful. No wonder it is called the most beautiful village in Shenzhen.
In the 1920s, a young man came out of this room, holding a brush and a carving knife, and became a famous figure in the emerging field of printmaking in China. He is Chen Yanqiao, a literary fighter, printmaker and educator.
When it comes to Chen Yanqiao and printmaking, we can't help but mention Lu Xun. Lu Xun, the father of the new woodcut movement in China, published a collection of woodcut prints "10 Yu Ben" all his life, and trained a group of new pioneers of painting, among whom Chen Yanqiao was one.
1April, 934, Chen Yanqiao began to correspond with Lu Xun and wrote under the guidance of Lu Xun. Chen Yanqiao wrote more than 20 letters to Lu Xun, and his works such as Vegetable Maid, Natural Disaster and Boarding also participated in the China Art Nouveau Exhibition during the Paris Revolution. In the pursuit of printmaking art, Chen Yanqiao emphasized the peace of documentary and formed a simple, rich, unique and wonderful painting style. His printmaking achievements made him a well-deserved leader in the new woodcut world.
Because of his printmaking genes, he followed his growing footsteps and established a national printmaking base in his hometown of Dashuitian Village. This is our current Guanlan Printmaking Village.
The concept of contemporary printmaking mainly refers to the artistic works conceived and created by artists through plate-making and printing procedures, specifically, the pictures carved or etched on pages such as wood, stone, hemp, copper and zinc with knives or chemicals.
The total planned area of Guanlan Printmaking Village is 6.5438+0.4 million square meters, of which the central area is 3.65438+0.6 million square meters.
