Can the air conditioner be installed facing the bed?

(1) The air conditioner should be installed away from places with harsh natural conditions (such as heavy oil fume, heavy wind and sand, direct sunlight or high temperature heat sources); oil fume and wind and sand can easily damage the air conditioner, so try your best to Avoid contact with the air conditioner. Direct sunlight or high-temperature heat sources will cause the air conditioner to not cool in time and the cooling effect will be poor.

(2) The installation location of the outdoor unit should be chosen as close as possible to the indoor unit, and the conditions of air circulation, no sunlight or little sunlight should also be considered. The outdoor unit should be installed on the outer wall of the air-conditioned room. The best orientation is north, followed by south, and the worst is east or west. As shown in Figure 1-1.

(3) There should be more than 10cm of space on the sides and back of the outdoor unit where the air enters, and more than 70cm of space in the front exhaust direction. Due to different structures of each outdoor unit, the required space size is also different. Please refer to the specifications in the manual.

(4) The installation surface of the air conditioner should be solid and strong with sufficient load-bearing capacity. When the installation surface is an old wall or roof of a building, it must have solid bricks, concrete or an installation surface with equivalent strength.

The installation site should be able to bear the weight of the outdoor unit, and should be free of vibration and cause no increase in noise. For example, if the air conditioner is installed on a protruding balcony, it will produce strong vibration and loud noise. Generally placed under the window of the bedroom, separated by windows and walls, it will greatly reduce the noise. And it is installed under the window within easy reach to ensure that future maintenance and cleaning, user installation of air conditioning cover and inspection are convenient.

(5) The exhaust air and noise will not affect the neighbors’ places.

(6) Outdoor units of air conditioners should not be installed in public areas such as corridors, stairs, exits, etc. inside the building.

(7) The outdoor unit of the air conditioner should not occupy the public sidewalk. The distance between the bottom of the mounting frame of the air conditioner installed along the buildings on both sides of the road and the ground should be greater than 2.5m.
