Matters needing attention in wall demolition

Exterior wall and counterweight wall

The external wall of a building includes the top surface and the ground. There is a door and a window on the wall between the room and the balcony. These doors and windows can be removed and replaced, but the wall under the window can't be moved. This section of the wall is called the "counterweight wall", which plays the role of supporting the balcony like a heavy object. Demolishing this wall will reduce the bearing capacity of the balcony and lead to the balcony falling.

Wall-breaking technique

You need to break the whole wall. For walls over 2 meters and under 2.8 meters, it is generally safer to make a hole of about 50 in the lower part of the wall with an electric pick first, and then hit it with a sledgehammer bit by bit. When hitting it, pay attention to avoid it in time when a large piece falls. The smashed wall is more than 2.8 meters high. It is relatively safe to open a hole in it and smash it from above.
