Wu Niu Tu is the work of Han Yun, one of the top ten famous paintings handed down by China, one of the few original paper and silk paintings handed down in the Tang Dynasty, and the oldest paper-based Chinese painting in existence. It can be called "the treasure of the town hall" and is now in the Palace Museum in Beijing.
The five cows in the painting are lined up from left to right, and each cow has a different appearance and posture. I bow my head to eat grass, I look forward, I lick my tongue back, I walk slowly, I tickle in Jing Ke. The whole picture has no background except a small tree on the last right, so each cow can stand alone. Painters show different temperament through different faces and postures: lively, quiet, noisy, timid and eccentric.
