The couplets are: Huaguoshan blessed land, water curtain cave cave. This couplet implies that Huaguoshan water curtain cave is a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Water curtain cave is a famous scenic spot in Huaguoshan Scenic Garden, located at the top of the mountain, to the east of Sanyuan Family Temple Reunion Palace. The author described a wonderful mythical world with romanticism, and the couplet at the entrance of water curtain cave in Huaguoshan is one of the outstanding performances.
Characteristics of water curtain cave:
From the Reunion Palace to the east, the Hundred Steps Dance is deliberately described as "a place with flowers and mountains, a hole with water curtain cave" in The Journey to the West, which is said to be a place of three-dimensional cultivation.
Water curtain cave is a natural cave in the south with a zigzag shape. The hole is like a hall, with a side of Meng Quan. "Winter is inexhaustible, and the water is very sweet." Therefore, it is said that this spring is the mouth of the sea and is called the "sea eye". It is said that this is the place where Sun borrowed treasures from the Dragon Palace.
There is a steady stream on the cliff outside the cave. "Look closely at the water drops in the cliff. It is suspected to be a pearl shutter." On the cliff, there are eight characters inscribed by Wang Tongyu in the 23rd year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1544), which are obviously metaphors of "water curtain".
