Why is the legend that Zhu Yuanzhang was buried in the Heavenly Palace not credible?

Legend has it that the founding emperor knew that Jiangshan was hard-won, attached to the throne before his death, and refused to leave the imperial city after his death. He chose Chaotian Palace as his permanent residence. Chaotian Palace is a famous Taoist temple in Nanjing, which was built by Yang Pu, the monarch of the Five Dynasties. Formerly known as Amethyst Palace, it was later changed to Xiangfu Palace, Tianqing Temple, Mystery Temple and Yongshou Palace. Because of its good location, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered it to be demolished and rebuilt in the seventeenth year of Hongwu (1384), and renamed it "Chaotian Palace", which became the venue for offering sacrifices to the DPRK at that time. Zhu Yuanzhang likes Sanqing Hall in the Heavenly Palace very much. Before he died, he told people to be buried under the hall.

This kind of legend also belongs to endless. If you look at the scale and layout of the Ming tomb, it is hard to believe this legend. The red wall in the Ming tomb is 45 miles long and 5 miles deep. In the cemetery, the pleasure hall stands tall, with pavilions towering into the sky. The entrance is located at Xiamafang on the east slope of Weigang, one and a half miles west. It is the gate of Xiaoling, known as the "Great Golden Gate". Passing through this gate is Sifang City, which was originally a stele pavilion, and there is a "Shengde Monument" where Ming Chengzu praised his father. Out of the pavilion, across the stone bridge, into the flat and open Xiaoling "Shinto" (tomb). 12 pairs of stone statues are arranged on both sides in turn. From south to north, there are stone lions, stone camels, stone unicorns, stone elephants and stone horses. They are tall and upright, and each stone can carve a whole stone of about 80 tons. At the end of Shinto is Lingxingmen, where there are also large stone carvings. After Lingxingmen, the northern foot of Meihua Mountain and Yu He Bridge, it is the main building of Xiaoling. Mausoleum buildings include civil and military square doors, middle doors, Xiaoling Hall, Fangcheng, Minglou and Baoding. Fangcheng is the largest building in Xiaoling mausoleum. It is twenty-three feet long from east to west, more than nine feet wide from north to south and about fifty feet high. It is tall, majestic and strong. The center of Fangcheng is a circular arched tunnel with 54 steps, and the exit of the tunnel faces the south wall of Baoding. The dome behind Baoding, commonly known as Dulong Mansion, is the location of Xiaoling Underground Palace and the "heart" of the whole cemetery. Boarding the Ming building, looking south, the square mountain looks like a pearl, and there is a mountain in the east and west, like two dragons, forming a rare spectacle of "double dragons playing with pearls" in the world. Zhu Yuanzhang dominated the sun in Zhongshan. Among the mountain shadows, there are dozens of heroic tombs guarding the founding emperor, such as Xu Da, King of Zhongshan, Chang Yuchun, King of Kaiping and Li Wenzhong, King of Qiyang. As mentioned earlier, Zhu Yuanzhang carefully chose this fertile land of geomantic omen, and moved to build temples, towers and tombs for this purpose. Business for more than 20 years, without spending manpower, material resources and financial resources. How could he easily abandon such a magnificent imperial tomb and condescend to the Sanqing Hall of the Chaotian Palace? As is known to all, Xiao Ceng is a monk who is not a monk in Ming Taizu, and Chaotian Palace is a famous Taoist temple. After he ascended the throne, he enthusiastically advocated Buddhism. How could he abandon the Buddha and go to sleep in Sanqing Hall? In addition, Zhu Yuanzhang and Ma Shi belong to a troubled couple, and they have loved each other all their lives. How did Zhu Can easily leave his dear queen to live elsewhere? When a scholar in the Qing Dynasty criticized the burial in Suoyan Chaotian Palace in Baixia, and Xiao Ling only had nonsense, he said, "It took millions of years to build a mountain mausoleum and planned it for more than ten years. Is it (only) for Queen Ma? " This view is very insightful.
