What are the Eight Mausoleums of Gongyi called?

The "Seven Emperors and Eight Mausoleums", that is, the Eight Mausoleums of Gongyi, are the imperial tombs of the Northern Song Dynasty. Located in the hilly flat between the northern foot of Songshan Mountain in Gongyi, Henan Province and Luohe River.

Located between Zhengzhou and Luoyang, there is Songshan Mountain in the south and the Yellow River in the north, which is surrounded by mountains and waters and has beautiful scenery. It is known as a treasure trove of geomantic omen "born in Suzhou and Hangzhou and buried in Beimang".

The construction of the Imperial Tomb in the Northern Song Dynasty began in 968, with a total area of 25 square kilometers. After thousands of difficulties and dangers, only ruins are left. These nearly a thousand stone statues scattered in the fields preserved the precious past of the Northern Song Dynasty. There were nine emperors in the Northern Song Dynasty. Besides Huidi and Qin Shihuang, seven emperors were buried here, and Zhao, who was revered as Xuanzu, was his father. Therefore, the world calls it "Seven Emperors and Eight Mausoleums".
