In the thirty-sixth year of the Republic of China (AD 1947), Shaoyang County was divided into eight townships: Longzhi, Longzhong, Xinglong, Zhonghe, Guowei, Baohe, Ethical, Xisheng and Taohong Town, and Longhui County was newly established, with Liuduzhai under the jurisdiction of the county.
According to the records of Jiaqing Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, "Longhui Governor Department is located in Longhui City (now Simen Town) in the northwest of Shaoyang County. Ming Hongwu five years (AD 1372). " There is also a record in Daoguang's Baoqing Fuzhi in the Qing Dynasty: "Shaoyang in the Ming Dynasty was seventeen townships, two townships and twelve townships ... it was called Longhui and the eighth township ... and sixteen caves were located in Yaojing, northwest of the county (now lead chaos in Xiaoshajiang District), which belonged to Longhui Division and was unified in the first township of Shaoyang County." When Longhui was established as a county, it was basically under the jurisdiction of the original Longhui district, and "Longhui" was used.
1949 10 Longhui was liberated, Longhui County People's Government was established, and the county seat was moved to Taohong Town. 1950 is included in Ziyang Township and Shijiang Township of Wugang County, and 1952 is included in Gaoping, Luohong and Tian Miao of Xinhua County.
1956, Xiping Township in Wugang County and Yanertang Township in Xupu County, as well as Miaoshanping and Lumaodang were included. At this point, the size of the county has been determined.
