Nanjing Meiling in Xie 'an's Tomb

The emperor gave this cemetery.

In the tenth year of Taiyuan (385), Xie An died of illness, because he was the records of the DPRK before his death. His funeral was extremely grand and sponsored by the court. Sima Yao, the filial emperor, gave him a pair of exquisite big coffins, and chose the land of Feng Shui in Meiling for him. According to "Ding Jing Jiankangzhi" (Volume 17), this post was only two feet high before, and it was called "Mei" because the home of the Eastern Jin Taishou (the teacher of ancient literary history) was nearby.

Yuanhe County Records in Tang Dynasty: "Xie 'an's tomb is in Shili Lion Hill, southeast of the county". In the Song Dynasty's "Ding Jing Jiankang Zhi": "Xie 'an's tomb is in Meiling Hill, Jiuli, south of the city", the origin of its wordless tablet has also been verified. After the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was still recorded in the annals of the capital of the Republic of China that Yuhuatai had "ridges in the east" and "celebrities were buried in it, including Xie An and Han Xizai". The place names are called Lexus, Meigang, Shizigang and Meiling Gang according to different ages, all in Yuhuatai area.

After Xie buried Meiling, with the demise of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the glory of Xie's family faded. However, the incense of Xie Jia continues, and the care of Xie's tomb is still a family event. Generally, private grave robbers have evil intentions, but they have no courage, so Xie's tomb is still safe.

Chen Shuling robbed the tomb.

However, in the Southern Dynasties, Peng Guiren, the second son of Chen Gang and the mother of Shixing Wang, died in 579, the eleventh year of Taijian. Budixiang Yinzhai was popular at that time, and Chen Shuling also wanted to find a treasure house for his biological mother, so he suddenly thought of Meiling, where Xie 'an's tomb was located. He invited the emperor's father to play and buried Peng Guiren in Meiling. Meiling is a big place, but Chen Shuling seems different. He thinks the best place is the location of Xie 'an's tomb. So, Chen Shuling actually occupied Xie An's graveyard.

Not only Xie An's graveyard, but also his grave. Chen Shuling ordered the excavation of Xie An's grave. Although it has been buried for so many years, the big coffin is still in good condition and the paint is bright. After Xie An's coffin was carried out, Chen Shuling arranged for craftsmen to "decorate" Xie An's grave again, repainted it and carried it into his mother's coffin. Xie An's tomb became the "tomb villa" of Peng Guiren.

The cemetery returned to Xie Jia.

Xie Zhen, the ninth grandson of Xie An and General Zhaoyuan, has just returned to Jiankang from the Northern Zhou Dynasty. In the face of Chen Shuling's arrogance, although I have complaints, I can't help it. Grave robbers come to no good end. Later, after failing to compete with Chen for the throne, he was beheaded and his body was thrown into the Yangtze River to feed the fish. Soon, courtiers wrote to Chen Houzhu, demanding that Chen Shuling's sins be settled before his death. The body of his biological mother Peng was pulled out of the tomb and the temple bed built was destroyed. The cemetery was returned to Xie Jia, but Xie An's coffin did not come back.
