----The day before I watched the war of words between Hu Yiming and Sima Nan, I accidentally saw a TV debate on the theme of "About Feng Shui Application for World Heritage" broadcast on the "168" Internet. Taiwanese Feng Shui master Hu Yiming is represented, and the opposition is represented by the anti-counterfeiting fighter Sima Nan. The outcome of the debate surprised many practitioners and enthusiasts of Feng Shui and traditional numerology. Obviously, from the technical perspective of the debate, the affirmative's performance was extremely inferior. Facing the battle-hardened and eloquent Sima Nan, Hu Yiming was defeated without hesitation. This was beyond my expectations. Comparing the video of Mr. Hu’s previous class, we have to suspect that Mr. Hu did exaggerate. First of all, the argument is wrong and given to others. In terms of the definition of "Feng Shui", Mr. Hu called it three "science, science, science" in a row. It’s okay to talk about this argument in your own class, but if you throw it out on TV with a wide audience, wouldn’t it mean that you are giving people a handle and being beaten openly? Feng Shui, like other numerology, belongs to the category of "metaphysics". The biggest difference between metaphysics and science is that it does not have the theoretical support of modern scientific civilization (of course, it does not need the support of modern scientific theories); modern science is based on experiment and logic; while metaphysics is based on perceptual and spiritual thinking. Dominant, it is based on the model of the unity of nature and man, and the understanding of everything. The two paths and methods of understanding the world are like the two sides of yin and yang, which are complementary rather than homogeneous or substitute relationships. Mr. Hu's point of view was immediately refuted by Sima, and it was natural for him to be suspected of being a liar. Secondly, the arguments are pale and courage is lacking. Mr. Hu took the CCTV Lantern Festival fire in 2008 as an example to explain the argument that air friction on the facade of an object causes fire. According to Mr. Hu, this should be a scientific conclusion. In this case, any object with air friction on its facade will inevitably cause fire. Not to mention Mr. Sima, even a Feng Shui practitioner like me has doubts about this point of view. According to my experience, if there are sharp points, triangular friction and other shapes, the probability of fire is indeed very high, but this can only be said to be a high probability event, not a 100% inevitable event. Just like the four pillars and eight characters, it cannot explain life 100%. If you have seven or eight levels of accuracy, you are already a master among people. We know that the sharp point is similar to the fire torture, but it is also in the shape of a knife, so it will also appear as a symbol of torture injuries. Furthermore, according to the theory of the unity of heaven and man, the corresponding events will occur only when the three factors of heaven, earth, and people must be in harmony. When Sima Nan questioned why Mr. Hu did not predict the CCTV fire in advance and alert the public, Mr. Hu was speechless. This shocked me. I clearly remember that Mr. Hu claimed in his class video that he predicted a fire in the CCTV building in a public place in Beijing and pointed out the point of fire; he also seemed to predict that there would be another fire at CCTV in a certain year. There are two possibilities: either Mr. Hu lacks the courage to testify, or Mr. Hu was telling lies before. Therefore, Mr. Hu's "Feng Shui is a science" is untenable. We know that Mr. Hu brought Yin Yang Feng Shui from Taiwan to the mainland in recent years. This is a good thing that should be celebrated. It's like adding a wonderful flower in a hundred gardens, enriching and perfecting Feng Shui culture. In fact, Yin-Yang Feng Shui does not deviate from the theoretical basis of traditional Feng Shui. To put it bluntly, it is still within the scope of the unity of nature and man and the law of Yin and Yang. As long as you have a good understanding of the characteristics of the human body, you will have a good understanding of the Yin and Yang method and Feng Shui. Numerology is numerology, and metaphysics is metaphysics. Any behavior that caters to other academics is itself a kind of blasphemy. I would like to discuss this article with my colleagues.
