Qingfeng Tower is located in the center of the old city of Xingtai City, at the north end of Fuqian Street. Xingtai belonged to Shunde Road (first a prefecture) in the Yuan Dynasty, and to Shunde Prefecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today, the city has always been the administrative seat of the road and prefecture. Qingfeng Tower was originally located in front of the government office and was an integral part of the government office. The year when the Qingfeng Tower was first built is unknown. According to "Shunde Mansion Chronicles", the Qingfeng Tower was "built in the Tang and Song Dynasties" and was later destroyed due to wars and other reasons. In the third year of Chenghua reign of Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty (AD 1467), Li Guangheng, the prefect of Xingtai, spared no expense to rebuild it. The rebuilt Qingfeng Building has a typical architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. It is a mountain-style structure with double eaves. The building is more than 7 feet high, with a masonry platform below and brackets and cornices above. It is majestic and majestic.
