Geomantic layout of Nanchang bridge

Hongdu Hero Bridge.

On February 26th, 2007, Nanchang Municipal Government held a special press conference to announce that the two bridges under construction at that time were officially named Hongdu Bridge and Hero Bridge respectively.

Among them, the south bridge across the southern branch of Jiangxi Province was named Hongdu Bridge, because Hongdu was one of the main appellations of ancient Nanchang. Second, the bridge is connected with Hongdu Avenue, with clear references and easy to remember and find.

Hero Bridge is a large-scale long-distance composite bridge, which consists of North Approach Bridge, North Main Bridge, Yangzizhou Approach Bridge, South Main Bridge, South Approach Bridge, Yupingdong Overpass (formerly Changjiu Overpass), Fenghe Beidadao Overpass, Yangzizhou Overpass and Binjiang Overpass. The western end of the Yangtze River Island runs east-west, and the eastern end runs northwest to southeast.
