Shengjinguan is located at the southern foot of Zhongning Mountain, in the middle hilly area of Weining Plain. The mountains in the north are undulating and the dunes are vertical and horizontal. To the south is the surging Yellow River, which winds down the east like a white jade belt. Baotou-lanzhou railway walks between mountains and rivers, and there is a tunnel under Guancheng. The steep stone wall at the entrance of the cave is engraved with three vigorous and correct characters: "Shengjinguan". Mountains and rivers are separated here, and roads lead to one line. Since ancient times, it has been a great pass guarded by military strategists and a famous ancient battlefield.
Ningzhou tower
Ningzhou Tower, referred to as Zhou Pei for short, is located in the ditch on the north bank of Liu Qing Canal in Xizhou Tower Village, Zhongning City. Founded in the second year of Dashun in the Tang Dynasty (89 1), it is a brick tower built by Fengning City (now an ancient city) in the dock temple to commemorate the establishment of the dock in the Northern Wei Dynasty and create the shipping industry of the Yellow River.
Ningzhou Tataji is solid, 2.67 meters underground. The area of the foundation pit is several times larger than the tower foundation, and it is surrounded by masonry walls. The pagoda stands in the center of the foundation pit and the mast stands in the cabin. There is a long poem circulating in the local area, such as "the temple wall is like a boat crab practicing a mast peak." The tower has seven floors, with an octagonal plan and a width of five feet on each side. The hollow inside the tower is circular, with a diameter of1.5m. The stairs are spiral, and a brick is used to climb up to the top of the mountain. The tower body is laid with colored plain bricks and jointed with lime. The outer grid has staggered teeth, and wind chimes are hung on the corners. The tower brake is gourd-shaped, and the surface is inlaid with yellow copper banana leaves to drill the spire. The first floor of the tower has an open door, and the seventh floor has a south gate; Other floors are Qianmen I, Ximen I and Dongmen II. There is a brick plaque on the north side of the third floor, with four characters of "Ningzhou Tower" on the front, and inscriptions on both sides and bottom are engraved in inches.
Shikong Temple Grottoes
Located at15km north of Zhongning County, there are primitive grottoes such as Giant Buddha Cave, Lying Buddha Cave, Guanyin Cave, Wanglong Cave and Lingguang Cave. There are temples in front of the grottoes, and there are various statues of gods and buddhas in the temples. Jiuwuliang Cave is spacious and magnificent, with a depth of 7.3 meters, a width of 12.5 and a height of more than 20 meters. There are three Buddha statues side by side in the inner wall, and there are Buddhist altars on both sides.
