Give an example of how to tell what is missing in your fortune:

An arbitrary horoscope

Five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

Let’s take a look at what is missing in the eight characters:

Gold: Using the attributes of the five elements of the heavenly stems and the five elements of the earthly branches, we can know that the characters that belong to metal: Geng, Xin, Shen, and You. Then we look at whether there are any of these characters in the horoscope. As long as any one of these characters appears, it means there is no shortage. If none of the above characters belonging to gold appear in the horoscope, it means that the horoscope is short of gold. Looking at the picture above, we can see that Geng, Xin, and Shen appear, which means there is no shortage of gold in the eight characters;

Wood: The same principle is the same as the method of finding gold. The attributes of the five elements of the heavenly stems and the five elements of the earthly branches can be known: the characters belonging to wood: A, B, Yin, and Mao. Then we look at whether there are these characters in the horoscope. As long as any of these characters appear, it means there is no shortage. If none of the above characters belonging to wood appear in the horoscope, it means that the horoscope lacks wood.

The theory is exactly the same. After searching, there is gold, wood, water, and soil. But there is no character for fire, so this horoscope only lacks fire.
