What is the reason for the high temperature of automobile water tank and what is the harm?

Causes of high water temperature in automobiles;

1, insufficient coolant:

Starting a long-term water circulation will slowly drain the coolant in the engine cooling system, resulting in water shortage in the water tank. If the owner fails to check and add coolant in time, it is easy to cause the engine water temperature to be too high;

2. Water tank leakage:

The water tank connecting pipe is broken or loose, which will cause water leakage. At this time, the water circulation will be blocked, and if it is serious, the engine will "boil";

3. Cooling fan failure:

Damage to the cooling fan or short circuit of wires will cause the fan to work or the cooling fan to rotate slowly, which will cause the heat of the engine to be unable to dissipate and the water temperature of the engine will naturally rise;

4, thermostat failure:

Thermostat is a device that controls the flow path of coolant. Once it is stuck or fails, the cycle of the engine will be affected, and the heat of the engine will not be effectively dissipated.

5, water pump failure:

After the water pump fails, the heat-conducting water of the engine cannot be updated in time, so the water temperature will rise rapidly after the engine is started, and the water temperature alarm light on the dashboard in the car will also light up.

When the water temperature of the vehicle is found to be high, it is impossible to continue driving. Under normal circumstances, excessive engine temperature will aggravate the wear and tear of various components, resulting in water pipe rupture, radiator leakage, cylinder pulling and other consequences, and even lead to engine scrapping in serious cases. Therefore, when the owner encounters this situation, he must not be lucky. It can be handled by the following methods:

1. If the engine water temperature is high while driving, first find a safe and cool place to pull over. Let the vehicle run at idle speed and don't turn off the engine, because the cooling fan and coolant circulation will stop after turning off the engine, making the engine hotter;

2. Open the fume hood to increase air circulation. After the water temperature drops, unscrew the first radiator water cover, and then open it after the internal water vapor pressure is completely discharged;

3. Check whether there is any abnormality in the liquid and fan in the radiator, check whether there is any leakage in the connecting pipeline of the water tank, and then check whether the cooling liquid is sufficient. If there is no available coolant in the car, you can replace it with mineral water first, and then continue driving after the water temperature drops. However, it is necessary to replace the new coolant afterwards to check whether the liquid level drops seriously. If yes, then be sure to find the location of the leak;

4. In the face of engine overheating, what you can usually do is to check and add coolant. As for other faults such as water pump and thermostat, please ask for rescue as soon as possible.

Precautions for using automobile coolant:

1, insist on using coolant all the year round.

For the traditional engine, the temperature of the coolant that can ensure the normal operation of the engine is 80℃ ~ 90℃. For the electronically controlled engine, due to its high speed, high compression ratio, high power, high mechanical load and thermal load, and high friction heat, the requirement for the normal working temperature of the coolant is raised to 95℃ ~ 105℃.

This is different from the traditional view that the water temperature of engine cooling water is normal, which needs people to change their understanding. In addition, we should pay attention to the continuity of coolant use. It is wrong to think that we only want to use it in winter. We only know the anti-freezing function of coolant, but ignore the anti-corrosion, anti-boiling and anti-scaling functions of coolant.

Step 2 choose correctly

When using coolant, its freezing point should be lower than the minimum ambient temperature of 65438 00℃. There are many kinds of coolant in the auto parts market. "Coolant" is actually just "antifreeze". Most of them are made by mixing alcohol with water and adding pigments. There is no additive in the coolant, and its boiling point is about 90℃, which is corrosive and easily leads to overheating of the engine.

3, the method of distinguishing authenticity

High-quality coolant is eye-catching, clear and transparent, and has no peculiar smell; Heat the coolant with a beaker and measure its boiling point with a thermometer. Only those whose boiling point is above 100℃ are genuine products, and those whose boiling point is below 100℃ are fakes.
