What is even more strange is that every year when the royal family opens its branches, the gourd will shine brilliantly, covering the whole mountain. One night, the strong wind blew the gourd off the cliff and landed in Hu's backyard. The old couple cherished the gourd and carried it into the house. At dawn the next day, the old couple just woke up from a dream and suddenly heard a slight noise. I opened my eyes and saw a beautiful girl coming out of the gourd, busy making a fire and cooking for the old couple. Since then, the girl has served two old people every day and returned to the gourd every night. The evil monk in the temple knew about it and wanted to possess the girl. One night, the evil monk broke into the house, killed Mr. and Mrs. Hu and took the gourd. The evil monk walked into the temple with a gourd and waited eagerly for the girl to come out. At dawn, the girl really came out of the gourd. The evil monk was ecstatic and was about to hug him. Suddenly, an earth-shattering thunder knocked down the temple. The evil monk died of cramping and peeling, but the girl was safe and sound. She went down the mountain and buried the Hu couple, and then disappeared. People hate evil monks and never build temples again. People miss two kind-hearted old people and beautiful filial girls, so they renamed Honglang Mountain Hulu Mountain.
There is a narrow north-south avenue at the foot of Dongshan Mountain, commonly known as Hulu Hole and Hulu Pass. There are several stone houses in front of the pass, which is said to be the place where Sun Erniang set up shop in the Water Margin.
