In the seventh year of Yongzheng (A.D. 1729), Prince Andrew of Yi and Governor Gao Qicheng were ordered to choose tombs for Yong Zhengdi. Taining Mountain in Yizhou (later changed to Yongning Mountain) was selected as Taipinggu (i.e. Tailing Site of Qingxiling in Yixian County). It is said: "Taipinggu in Taining Mountain, Yizhou is a place of' eternal happiness', a place where hard training, Kunqu Opera and Xiu Xiu gather, and a place where Yin and Yang meet. The sand and stone in Longdong are beautiful, the situation is reasonable, and auspicious places are all available." Yongzheng was delighted after reading it: "The landscape method is detailed and clear, for good luck." So I decided to build a mausoleum here. Later, a letter was issued to Prince Yi Andrew, and he was given "peaceful and good land as a graveyard" at 60 miles northeast of Tailing Mausoleum in Yongzheng, that is, Yunxi Shuiyu, Dongying Fangcun, Laishui County.
Huang Hongfa died in May of the following year. Judging from the regulation of Huangdi Mausoleum, it is the most grand and complete tomb of the Prince in the Qing Dynasty, including Shinto Flame Archway, Five-hole Stone Bridge Archway, Huabiao Single-hole Stone Bridge and Three-hole Stone Bridge Monument.
Such a big project, the workload of 3-5 years, according to this calculation, Huang Hongfa was buried three years after his death, because the mausoleum was not built.
The delay in burial is often due to the unfinished mausoleum, and some are due to the unfinished mausoleum construction.
