After learning that Brother Murphy has his own "Murphy Pavilion", he has always wanted to see it. The Murphy brothers said he still owed me wine. He said that he gradually decorated it with the income from teaching. When he was decent, he invited me to drink and let me write plaques and couplets.
I took time out of my busy schedule a few days ago and specially arranged some time. I went to Lanxi with him and met Brother Mo and some old local classmates. Han provided that he wrote for Xie and asked me to write again.
Non-ink man
I have been in contact with the Murphy brothers for a long time and have a deep friendship. Of course, what connects the preceding with the following is * * * *' s calligraphy hobby and * * * *' s efforts in calligraphy. I admire the Murphy brothers' persistence and unique successful thinking.
I remember 1988, Zhejiang Hard Pen Calligraphers Association held its inaugural meeting, and Xie attended as a director. When the participants introduced me, Brother Murphy's self-introduction of "I am an individual calligrapher" caught everyone's attention. At that time, calling yourself "self-employed" was somewhat new. Since then, our contacts have increased day by day, and our mutual understanding and trust have also kept pace with the times. 1997 I have a personal calligraphy exhibition in Jinhua, and the preface is written by Xie. In the process of drinking and chatting together, I learned more about Brother Mo's experience and personality.
Moge was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and his father moved to Lanxi to set up a factory to do business. The cleverness of Shaoxing touts is combined with the unique geographical environment where the three rivers meet in Lanxi. My father's factory was famous at that time. During the Kuomintang rule, one of their relatives in Shaoxing took care of an important person in Lanxi at that time through their relationship. The official used his power to hang a sign of a military enterprise at the gate of Xie's factory. Of course, after liberation, this became a historical issue, which also affected Xie. Because of his family background, he can only attend junior high school. In the era of class struggle, high school universities can't admit people from poor families. Perhaps because of his family background, during the Cultural Revolution, his brother Murphy was inexplicably labeled as a counter-revolutionary because he said a few words of truth and fell into a conspiracy. His original wife left a son and left him. At the beginning of his imprisonment, Mo Mo was heartbroken and desperate. When he recovered from the blow, he wrote the copybooks of "Two Kings", "Four Schools in Early Tang Dynasty" and "Song Sijia" on his legs and on the ground. Calligraphy gave Brother Mo faith and strength, so that he would not be depressed in prison. Three years later, the wrong case was corrected and he was released from prison to resume his work. But he quit his job, stayed in a humble room in mean streets, plunged into the ocean of calligraphy, and dissolved all human physiological thoughts into the persistent pursuit of calligraphy art. He said, "Calligraphy made me". In adversity, he used to sell words for a living and set up a stall at the entrance of Lanxi Chengnan Theater to write couplets. A thousand years is five years, and he will carry his weight regardless of the wind and snow. At this time, calligraphy became his livelihood, and he didn't feel sad. He thought that as long as he could survive, he would succeed in calligraphy art, and his book association business was getting better and better, and his reputation was getting bigger and bigger. Some people from rural areas outside Liancheng also come to buy Spring Festival couplets. In a busy twelfth lunar month, he can earn about 1500 yuan, which is more than the annual income of three workers at that time.
From 1987, he began to be a disciple and devoted himself to calligraphy teaching. Through practice, he has formed teaching theories such as "Bipolar Theory of Calligraphy", "Theory of Seal Script" and "Theory of Expression of Regular Script", and advocated a crash teaching method to simplify and formulate some abstruse, complicated and difficult calligraphy theory, so that students can understand it easily and learn it well. He held calligraphy classes in the Youth Palace for two years, then opened a special classroom in his old house and taught for ten years, using both hard pen and brush calligraphy. Nowadays, peaches and plums are all over the world and enjoy a good reputation in the book industry. It was calligraphy that kept Brother Fei Mo alive, made Brother Fei Mo successful in his career and made Brother Fei Mo have a happy family. Brother Mo's special experience has made him more dependent on calligraphy and have a deeper understanding. If I want to sketch a professional concept for Brother Mo, I think Brother Mo is a calligraphy teacher and used to be a private school teacher. His life style and teaching mode have special experience and universal significance for his colleagues who are engaged in teaching and creation in the field of hard pen calligraphy in China. He is a successful man. He was respected and became a celebrity, which was the result of long-term efforts and good deeds. This is inevitable and deserved.
Mogo is two years older than me, but he looks much younger than me. In addition to the roughness of his face, he embodies the maturity of a mature man and is permeated with the breath of young people. He has long hair, dyed brown, tied in a small bun, walks straight and lightly, and wears fashionable new clothes, just like a young man. I asked him why he was so young. He said with a smile: "I deal with children all day, and naturally I will be infected by childlike innocence." I am engaged in calligraphy art, so it is natural to be different. I have a good wife who is like-minded. Naturally, she is an aphrodisiac. How can I not be young? ! "
What is particularly worth mentioning here is Xie Xiong's current wife, Yang Yuqun. She comes from Chengdu, Sichuan Province. 1989 A hard-pen calligraphy competition was held in Sichuan Province. Brother Mo took part in the competition and won the first place. Xiao Yang began to pay attention to Xie Xiong. Later, he saw Fei Mo's works and news from newspapers and periodicals, admired him and his books, and tried to ask his teacher for advice. Xiao Yang wrote a letter about Xie Xiong's mailing address to the editorial department of China Pen Calligraphy. It should be said that there are a large number of manuscripts and letters in the editorial department, and it is generally impossible for fans to reply to all the letters asking the mailing address of the winners. Perhaps by fate, Pan Xian was very happy that day and wrote back to Xiao Yang, telling Xie's contact information. After that, Xiao Yang asked his brother Murphy. Thanks to the teacher, the letter kept flowing, and later I simply came to Xie Xiong in Lanxi, Zhejiang from Chengdu, Sichuan. Xiao Yang is cheerful, kind-hearted, intelligent and studious, and writes a beautiful "Xie Tizi". She is not only Mo Ge's wife, but also Mo Ge's right-hand man in calligraphy. She is really like-minded. I joked with Xiao Yang about who was after whom. Xiao Yang readily replied: "Of course I pursued him!" "Brother Murphy quickly added, calligraphy led the red line. Now their daughter is ten years old, lively and lovely, and a little calligrapher. Brother Murphy said that without Xiao Yang, there would be no him today, and there would be no Murphy Pavilion.
Ink-free book
Xie's calligraphy skills, whether brush or hard pen, are exquisite and famous. Especially in the field of hard pen calligraphy, he is one of the powerful figures and occupies an important position. His works are exquisite in stippling, vigorous and strong, elegant and noble, simple and solemn, and profound in spirit, so his spirit becomes unimpeded. Therefore, he is called "Xie Fei Motti", and there are many imitators, so there are also many winners and celebrities.
I think the reason why calligraphy is different from ordinary writing is that writing only records a writing symbol, and calligraphy is that the writer expresses his feelings through the pen and Chinese characters at hand. As a calligrapher, of course, you need to have good basic skills and professional knowledge, otherwise you are not in this line, but you need to have the ability to express your feelings through writing, otherwise you are just writing, not a calligrapher. A calligrapher's size and writing level depend on his knowledge and temperament. Those who have extensive knowledge, profound attainments, high temperament and broad mind will not worry about becoming great calligraphers. Otherwise, those who engage in small techniques or grandstanding and hype will not become great calligraphers.
Brother Mo loved calligraphy since he was a child, and he learned a lot of childlike interest. 18 years old, teacher Liu Pingshan, a famous calligrapher in Lanxi. When Mr. Liu was 80 years old, he was good at publishing books, feldspar and Kunqu opera. He is versatile. Old people study rigorously, but they are cheerful and easy to smile. Non-ink is influenced by it and calligraphy is refined. And because of their similar personalities, they are quite popular with the elderly. Murphy said that Liu Lao's character is an artist's character, and he can truly express his feelings. Art dislikes affectation the most, and pays attention to truth, goodness and beauty. Truth comes first, and only true feelings can move people.
Moge's creation changed with the mood, inspiration and writing content at that time. He believes that the most passionate time of the day is when eating, and physical hunger can stimulate creative inspiration. To this end, he ate half a meal and was hungry for half a meal in his creation. Whether his theory and practice are reasonable is quite different from my habit, but his creation must be emotional, passionate and stately, but they are interlinked. Brother Mo is not ordinary writing, but a kind of emotional sustenance and expression, which can be seen from the investment in calligraphy creation.
I had a party with Mo Ge and some classmates that day and drank a lot of wine. My friends asked me to leave Mo Bao. I was also infected by the creative environment of "Murphy Pavilion" with the passion of drinking, and wrote a few words. What Brother Mo and I wrote and acted echoed each other. If I think it's good, I'll say it's interesting. If I don't feel very satisfied, I'll say it's not fun. I rewrote it and did it. He also dared to inscribe the plaque of "Murphy Pavilion" and the couplet of "Students are romantic, gardeners are conscientious and have both ability and political integrity" to express their admiration and praise for Brother Murphy's career and character. The Murphy brothers said it should be engraved on the Murphy Pavilion.
Due to the limitations of Brother Fei Mo's experience and the difficulties of the firm, I dare not say that Brother Fei Mo is knowledgeable, knowledgeable and successful. But the elegance of non-Mo Ge is fully affirmed. His artistic style of calligraphy should be said to mainly benefit from his straightforward and tough personality and elegant and generous temperament. Learning can be increased through learning, experience can be deepened over time, and kung fu can be improved through constant practice. However, personality and temperament are innate qualities that others can't do. Mo Ge has this temperament to achieve today's success, and I believe he will become everyone because of this temperament.

This photo posted on one side looks like a place of interest or a castle in an ancient capital. Like the temple of a great historical figure? Neither is right.
The name of this building is "Murphy Hall", which is the "Xie Calligraphy Art Museum" of Mr. Xie, an ordinary member of our hard pen calligraphy circle. Housing ownership certificate, state-owned land use certificate and real estate deed certificate are all complete and belong to Xie.
"Murphy Pavilion" is located at Jiangbinguan Wharf, Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province, where Jinhua River, Qujiang River and Lanjiang River meet. It is built by the river and belongs to the landmark building of Lanxi City. Since the reform and opening up, Riverside has opened up villa areas, and the government encourages private houses to purchase land use rights to build villas. Many people like this magnificent Zhenjiang Tower, but they dare not take it. Those cadres who have the money to buy a house can't decide what to give after buying it. Entrepreneurs and businessmen say that the intersection of Sanjiang River is too feng shui to live in a private house and dare not buy it. Xie said, I can do it. I am the calligraphy museum. The quintessence of China, Four Treasures of the Study, Murphy alone is enough to contain it. As a result, a cornice tower in Nuoda was resolutely bought by Xie for millions of yuan. It's too late to say now, but it was three years ago.
At that time, many people didn't understand, and some people were jealous. They say that the landmark buildings of a city cannot be bought by a self-employed person. So, can individuals buy Tiananmen Gate? With the passage of time and the deepening of reform and opening up, the concept has gradually changed and the discussion has gradually turned into admiration. The government owns all the relevant documents of Xie, and this tower at the mouth of Zhenjiang in Lanxi City is Xie's private property and is protected by national laws. Mr. Ma Shixiao, a calligrapher, praised the "Murphy Pavilion" and said: "The book industry comes first, the country comes first".
Brother Murphy divided "Murphy Pavilion" into teaching area, communication area and exhibition area. Looking from the window, Lanyin stands at the intersection of the three rivers. The flooding of the river and the calmness really made me relaxed and forgot all the insults. Brother Murphy and I laughed: Brother Liang Zheng, my working hours may be less than two-fifths of yours, and your income may be less than two-fifths of mine. If my "Murphy Pavilion" is transferred now, it must be several million. I said, "If I have this building, I will definitely not sell it for generations. In fact, it is priceless that I have such a' Murphy Pavilion', which is beyond the measure of money. Congratulations! "
