Background: House of Leaves is an architectural masterpiece. Its roof looks like a huge flower, with six symmetrical petals, each like a leaf, and below it is every room of the house. A winding swimming pool runs through the house and a small fish pond with ornamental fish and vegetation is added at the end of the backyard.
Unique: "Leaf House" was designed by Mareines+Patalano architectural design company in Brazil. The company completely separates the indoor space from the corridor, allowing the sea breeze to directly pass through the whole building, which can play a good role in ventilation and cooling.
Architect Peter Colio Pross commented, "Corridor, as a part of the main building, seems to be the current mainstream style, which can be seen everywhere around us, and people seem to regard this style as a building standard.
Unfortunately, this style of corridor occupies a large part of residential space. "In House of Leaves, people can't see the obvious corridor, and there is no clear boundary between indoor and outdoor.
