Zhao Guangyi (939-997), namely Song Taizong (reigned 976-997), was the second emperor of the Song Dynasty. His real name was Zhao Kuangyi, and later he changed his name to Zhao Guangyi to avoid the anonymity of his brother Song Taizu. After he ascended the throne, he changed his name to Zhao Huan.
In the ninth year of Kaibao (976), Song Taizu died and Zhao Guangyi succeeded to the throne. After he ascended the throne, he used political pressure to force Wang Qian Chu and Chen, who was separated from Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, to hand over their land in the third year of Taiping and Xingguo (978).
The following year, I personally conquered Taiyuan and destroyed the Northern Han Dynasty, ending the five dynasties and ten kingdoms regime. Song Taizong Zhao Guangyi was the second emperor of the Song Dynasty.
