If you don't meet a monk by chance for a while, but you want to learn Buddhism, you can get started by swearing to convert first, and then convert again when you meet a master by chance.
First of all, you should go to the store of Buddhist relics and "invite" a portrait of "Three Sages of the West" to go home. Some stores have free affinity products to invite (visit more stores). The three saints in the west are Amitabha Buddha in the middle, Guanyin Bodhisattva on the right and Bodhisattva in the general trend on the left. The bodhisattvas standing on both sides are also called threatening bodhisattvas.
The portrait doesn't need to be too big, as long as it can be placed in a corner of the study (not in a room with a bed). Just prepare a clean desk (personal desk can be used for school accommodation, of course, if you want a mahogany one better). Choose a day on the tenth day of the lunar calendar (the first day, the eighth day, the fourteenth day, the fifteenth day, the eighteenth day, the twenty-third day, the twenty-fourth, the eighth day, the twenty-ninth day and the thirtieth day). If the paper of the portrait is too thin, you can take it to protect the shell, or frame it, and prepare incense, flowers and fruits so that you can swear to convert.
The portrait doesn't need to be illuminated, because we are honoring the Buddha, not the portrait. It doesn't matter whether it is illuminated or not, and there is no possibility of being possessed. Only unconverted people may be possessed by demons. When you finish the Buddha ceremony, the portrait will open itself.
The incense used can be either column incense or lying incense. Lying incense is less likely to fall out of the incense burner, but column incense can be seen in meditation, and it is easier to collect the heart. You can choose one by yourself.
The following procedures are simplified by Master Hongyi, Master Ci Zhou, Master Sheng Yan, Master Qian Yun and other works about precepts. Although simplified, they are still solemn. Originally, the conversion method like Master Ci Zhou was very long, because he was the first ancestor of the sages, and everything was methodical. According to his method, it would take three hours to get down once.
The following vows are marked with "",and you must pronounce them aloud. Of course, you don't need to use Mic, so you can hear what you are saying. Oaths have been used in this way since ancient times. Some of them are written in classical Chinese, but the meaning is very clear. Besides, there is no such thing as "thundering or turning into thick blood". You can rest assured to read them, and one day if you feel that Buddhism is not strong enough, you can abandon it to ensure that there are no sequelae.
However, if you are over 18 years old, the religious oath is no better than that of a girl. Of course, you should think carefully. Without further ado, let's talk about how to convert.
。 "Self-sworn conversion" procedure
1. Fasting and bathing, preparing fragrant flowers and four fruits in front of Buddha statues or portraits, and standing with their hands folded after incense.

9. Bridging:

Three conversions have achieved great success. Amitabha. From now on, you are a Buddha. Pay attention to the
gesture of salutation, which should be carried out gracefully and unhurriedly, and imagine that the Buddha's foot is in the palm of your hand when holding the palm back.
After that, you can practice Buddhism without obstacles.
