The Grand View Garden is a villa prepared by Jiafu for relatives of Jia Yuanchun. We didn't stay overnight, but it was built so big that we ordinary people felt extravagant.
After the Grand View Garden was completed, the author evaluated it from different angles. First, Jia Zheng took Jia Baoyu. Jia Zheng is a secular masterpiece, and Jia Baoyu is a refined scholar. The Grand View Garden is vulgar and elegant in their eyes. After Jia Yuanchun came, she also went there once, just saying it was too luxurious. This sentence is meaningful to a person who has lived in the palace, but it is normal to chew it carefully. The life she yearns for is the home of the common people.
Then grandma Liu appeared, and she was born again and again. The author arranged for Grandmother Jia to invite Granny Liu to visit the Grand View Garden. The actual reason is that she wants to see what is "too extravagant" with the eyes of granny Liu, a country woman who has never seen the world.
Granny Liu, like a mirror, has taken care of the Jia family's food, clothing, housing and transportation, without even touching the toilet. The author tastes the Grand View Garden with people of different temperament, values and levels. Granny Liu is one of them.
