Which ancient village in the deep mountains of southern Anhui is more primitive than Hongcun and Wuyuan?

Thanks to my friends, the first time I went to Huizhou, I arrived at the birthplace of ancient Huizhou culture? Shexian County, Anhui Province. There used to be a mansion in ancient Huizhou, which governed six counties, but after several changes, it is now divided into Anhui and Jiangxi provinces. For example, Wuyuan, the most famous representative of Huizhou, now belongs to Jiangxi Province. But for hundreds of years, Shexian county has been the seat of ancient Huizhou government and the birthplace of Huizhou culture.

We originally planned to go to Huizhou ancient village. At first, we wanted to choose a destination in famous scenic spots such as Wuyuan, Hongcun and Xidi. As a result, when a friend was looking for a guidebook, he stumbled upon an ancient village in Shexian called Yang Chan, so we did. In a fog? Here comes the land.

Yanggan Ancient Village is located in Shen Du Town, Shexian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. This is an ancient village hidden deep in the mountains of southern Anhui. What do you remember? White wall, god horse head wall? Huizhou's ancient buildings are different. They are hidden in the mountains and use local materials. The houses in Yangchan Village are all earth buildings made of yellow mud. Depending on the mountain, it forms a different kind of pastoral beauty.

The village is located on the hillside of more than 800 meters. There are several paths leading to the village, but these roads are narrow and steep. When we came two years ago, both private cars and motorcycles could drive into the village. I heard that now I can only park my car in the parking lot at the foot of the mountain and take the village shuttle bus up the mountain. However, when self-driving is actually allowed, there are not many tourists who actually drive up the mountain. After all, the steep mountain road is still very worrying. You see, even today when modern transportation is so convenient, it is not easy to see Yang Chan!

The history of Yangcheng ancient village can be traced back to Song Dynasty. It is said that Zheng's ancestors moved here from the north because of the war, and chose this treasure trove of geomantic omen deep in the mountains of southern Anhui, and settled here, forming this taoyuan village hidden in the mountains.

Where the mountains are far away, the greatest advantage is that it can retain the beauty of the original ecology, as in the ancient village of Yangcheng. The ancient villages in Huizhou have long been popular attractions. When tourists are bustling, Yang Chan is still a quiet and idyllic place. Although some tourists come here gradually, it is still a niche attraction. It is not uncommon for tourists, but it is by no means a sea of people.

The beauty of Yang production lies in the pristine beauty of this original ecology. Original building materials? Ramming soil into walls, logging to build beams, using bamboo as reinforcement, and paving with bluestone? The appearance of the house is also the original loess color of raw materials, without any decoration. These deep loess colors form a magnificent artistic beauty against the background of the surrounding mountains. Comfortable, deep, calm, indifferent, these things living in ancient villages, through these layers of earth houses, pour into your heart.

When we came, Yang Chan was still very primitive. There are inns and hotels run by local villagers in the village, but the conditions are simple. According to friends, there are also several homestays with better conditions, with a little more tourists than the previous two years. But compared with Hongcun, Wuyuan and other ancient villages, it is still an original ecological place. There are no tickets to Yang Chan. If you like it, you might as well come and see it as soon as possible.
